- Took my fly rod out to a few locations and had an amazing camp out and one of my favorite beaches on the island.

Thank you for this. I am heading to Hatchet Bay on Saturday. I am trying to get a definite answer on what license is needed for fly fishing, and where to purchase. I am just going to be fishing outside of our VRBO place on the water.
A flats fishing license should be purchased and you can get it at the administrators office in governors harbour. Takes a few minutes. However there is no enforcing the flats license, and no actually way for them to do so. So most people don’t waste their time getting the license for their stay.
I have the license because I live here, and because I have people like one of the other guys who commented, looking for any reason to scrutinize my fishing and the outdoors - or find some reason to have a problem with it.
So I reccomend getting the flats license because technically it is law, but if you don’t - there is no way that there are repercussions and no one would know whether you did or didn’t x

Hey man try squid or chopped barracuda - you can catch the small barracudas in lures during the day and use en as bait later in the day.

Awesome dude thanks for watching! I use a variety of things, I’m still figuring out what works best - but I’ve found the crazy Charlie fly has been my most efficient, as well as weighted streamers in red Or chartreuse

Great! Double bay beach, and the rocks and the south end of double bay are pretty good spots given the right weather. Wind should be nice for it today!
Hopefully you are purchasing a license to fly fish ,I see you DIY but are you following the guidelines/law?

@@BuckhornBoy currently trying out a bunch of different flies and seems like they all have their place, depends on where you’re fishing and what you’re fishing for.
