I have a question my starter started clicking when trying to start it. Figured it was the starter but the new on is doing the same exact thing. Any idea what it could be. Has a new battery as well
I have a 960 mustang and cant find anyone with a video on how to inspect the chain drive. Unfortunately it doesn't have a cover on the side for easy access so the only way im thinking in to go on the inside of the cab. Im inspecting it because the motor shuts off when i push the handle to go forward or back to far on the right side the left side is fine itll do a circle really fast but because i cant push the handle on the right hand bar all the way it'll kill it. Does anyone know how to get into the chain drive without taking the cab and everything off?
Very nice video I have an exact same one thanks a lot for sharing, do you have one for changing the motor oil and where do you get all your parts? Thanks again
I don't. But it's just a regular Kubota 1902 engine so parts for that are everywhere. Luckily most parts ive needed for the machine itself are sourced generically. If you need specific stuff look for parts from Thomas and Ford that will cross over.
Trying to replace drive motor on a scat 1700c ive got both of the wheels adjusted as far in as theyll go but i cannot for the life of me get the drive chains off. What am i doin wrong?
Hello, very good video thank you. I have a MF 506 industrial who looks very similar to this one but very hard to find information on the mf506. I would like to change the hydraulic oil but I don’t find any level on the tank… would you know the quantity to put ? and what kind of hydraulic oil to put ? Thank you very much
The MF 506 looks thomas built just like the scat trak in this video. Check the description there is a link to the Thomas manual. That should have the info. I use 15w40 engine oil in everything on my unit. Engine, chain boxes, hydros
@@ErickAguilar-y7d Does the bucket curl? Theres usually 3 pumps on these machines. 1 for each wheel motor then a separate gear pump for the boom and curl. Is there a chance your hoses are swapped somehow and the 2 cylinders are fighting eachother?
@spankranchgarage yes the bucket does durl. everything was working fine 3 days ago until yesterday it stopped raising. Even the fuel guage stopped working so im thinking its something electric
@@ErickAguilar-y7d Thats a good detail to add. I believe you have an issue with your boom lockout solenoid/valve. What kind of machine is it? Some have a 12v solenoid or valve that locks the boom for safety. If you lost power to fuel gauge maybe you lost it that as well
I'm fixing to do mine just what I needed and thanks for the manual
Great good luck!

Thanks for the video! Will be doing this soon!

Nice skid steer... We have the scat trak (koehring) 1350. Would that be around the same size as yours?
Very similar, just newer. I believe mine is from 1986 I think the 1350's were the next generation
quick questioin. if a skidsteer is wondering to one side could the chain tension cause that if the tension is different from left to right?
No, unless the chain is so loose its slipping. Its more likely a wheel pump adjustment it needs.

Ive never worked on a 1700, but some of them you have to pull a drive sprocket to get more slack. This sometimes means removing the axle stub
😊
Great tutorial!
Thank you!

How do you bleed the hydraulic,
You just operate the machine. It is all self bleeding
@spankranchgarage Okay. My boom doesnt want to raise my hoses just twitches but nothing happens. Can it be something electric?
