Sandra Potisek u should the Mardi Gras is the best but the one thing is that it’s very haunted it’s one of the top haunted places but it’s really fun so much things to do their I live down their by the way
My own thoughts after visiting New Orleans.... Were you ever so inspired to sit down in a quiet place and write in words that thing, that place, that time, that experience , that feeling that made you realise you are so alive in a beautiful life? I wrote something once after travelled for New Zealand to visit New Orleans. I did not want to forget and reading what I had written , I have always wanted to share my thoughts on New Orleans somewhere in part because this is my writing. More so in honour of the place New Orleans, U.S.A. So here it is. New Orleans ..roaming the streets of the French Quarters in the bright, busy, hustling and humid heat of day, every footstep bringing with it a veritable soup of aromas and sensations and sounds from the subtle fragrance of incense, to the hot and sharp tang of spicy Cajun foods. From Jazz and Brass bands in Jackson Square at twilight, to the captivating sound of Blues and Saxophone drawn from the very depths of a street singers soul. The sound of steam driven Calliope pipes wafting across the city to fade the distance as a paddle steamer wends lazily the mystery and myth of the Mississippi River. The onset of dusk bringing with it a certain aura of expectance and poise and magic that seems to pervade the very city streets themselves. Walking the bright and vibrant flare of mid evening Bourbon Street amidst a jostling throng of exuberant celebrants, one continuous blaring celebration from streets beginning to streets end, lost in the pure sensation of so much collective energy and found again in the awe and wonder of all to behold and experience in the surroundings. The charged and moody atmosphere of dimly lit Voodoo shops where to peruse amongst talismans and charms, runes and brightly painted wooden masks, spices and candles, incense and bottles and jars and vials of mysterious herbs tucked away in obscure corners as though by whose very design, to be rediscovered after ages long past. The bright, alluring shops where to adorn ones self with brilliant bead necklaces by which to blend with the crowd, where you can try on and pose coyly, a stately nod and courtly jest from behind hand held masks bedecked with bright plumes of colourful feather. The young street buskers whom for the askance of a coin or two, if you will, tap dance with more than a life times worth of skill, or so it seems, in dim lit doorways and street corners. And still, days after my return, to lay wrapped in the dark blanket of night lost in sweet half wakeful moments, to tarry in the drowsy mist of dream and yearn, as the sound of calliope pipes on the Mississippi river fade once more in my ears...New Orleans, Love from New Zealand.
The music never stops in New Orleans.. I love it that you guys love my city as much as most of us do. I never take this city and beautiful sites everywhere for granted. Y’all picked a perfect time to visit the weather has been amazing.
Oh wait I thought you guys were still here. I know where allot of filming locations are as I work in the industry. Yes John Goodman has owned several homes in NOLA, one somewhere in the city I’m not exactly sure but he also has a HUGE Mansion in Old Metairie.
Yes! One of our favorite cities! One thing you didn't seem to visit that is INSANE is the WWII museum in New Orleans. I'm not sure we have ever been to a museum in the world that can match it...Really awesome video, you guys! Especially liked all your drone footage! 😊

I’ve lived on the east coast, the west coast, the Midwest and in Louisiana and New Orleans is BY FAR my favorite city. This is where I want my forever home to be when I’m ready to retire. I love everything about it.
Outstanding! I do like the French Quarter. BTW, the author Anne Rice who wrote "Interview with the Vampire" (and created the Vampire Lestat) used to live in the Garden District. She used her own house as the setting for her Mayfair Witches novels.

The old wedding style cake homes are gorgeous. We found the cemetary’s pretty interesting how they’re dead are buried above ground because of being below sea level.

Wonderful video. I think you did a great job in showing the historical and high society part of New Orleans in the Garden District, the party atmosphere of Bourbon Street and the French Quarter as well as the plantations and the history of slavery (which without a doubt spurred the wealth of some in the city). New Orleans is distinctive -- there are no other places like it in the United States. Great job in showing all the sides.
