That would be a pain to have to do all that extra stuff to get it to work like it should out the box

It's really not that much considering the cost compared to similar chairs from Tatsoul which cost thousands of dollars, which I have also had major shipping issues with, like they sent the wrong chair bottom and I had to wait 2 extra weeks to get the proper bottom.
