we LOOOVE quick fixes!! I think it has to do with just wanting to be okay, you know? Especially when you are now aware of the problem. I've given myself ten years to deal with my pain and wounds, but sometimes I forget and assume decades of trauma can be reversed in a week after I've been introduced to some new method of emotional regulation. I fully understand now why people try to bypass their trauma instead of taking years/months to heal. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge Doc Snipes!

I like the blowing bubbles idea. Uhhh, sit-ups. Now singing real sounds good. The thought changing was cute. Trigger, I'll try the "this sucks".

Your sessions help. I still feel like I need a whole new way of looking at the world. I feel used by most people for their own ends. Thanks. I will keep watching.

I definitely understand what you are saying. However people cannot use us unless we let them. Once I began to heal my trauma I found my voice and learned to set boundaries and I cut all toxic people from my life and cultivated new healthy relationships. I hope you find a way to heal and find your own voice. I'm definitely not victim blaming because I myself let people do bad things to me and stayed for even more. We are however responsible to heal ourselves, get help, and not let people to continue to hurt us

Thank you so much for that very informative and supportive tutorial!! I really appreciate your very wise tutorials. Thanks. I wish all the deeply dysfunctional angry kids and teenagers in Australia would listen to your tutorials and take all of your advice before they go out and commit crimes and traumatise innocent people. Unfortunately trauma and abuse in the home begets more trauma and abuse in our society.🙏🙏🙏🌺

Hey Doc, I would love to hear you do a video on strategies to heal from trauma you have inflicted on yourself or resulting from your own bad decisions. For example, people who have committed crimes, mistreated family members, or have had substance abuse problems. I am carrying around alot of guilt for my own bad choices and I bet lots of other folks are too.

Mindfulness, deep breathing to my need works to get me out of my head.
I get reminded daily of my deep wound/trauma every day! It is a balance with fibromyalgia of pain from nothing to moving and causing pain. Normal physical pain seems to cancel out the intense fibro pain. But it is easy to overdo it when you know no bounds from the past.

Also ... to add another thing: somevof us need to upregulate out of dissociated states, unlike BPD or NPD. In Masterson's DOS's i'm more in the schizoid PD - being close to someone means being co-opted or in slave mode. I pair w long term partners who need to down regulate.
My current partner of four yrs or so can get upset if i get upset. I tell her i've spent thousands of $$ and yrs of tx to be able to GET upset!!
