I love my Wingie! Sounds nice with the piano. But I have never been using the internal mics like this. For live playing on big sound the feedback can get pretty wild pretty soon. I run a contact AKG mic through it instead, sticking it on various DIY objects with strings and springs and everyday objects. Turning them into really unique instruments when paired with the wingies resonators. Such an inspiring little box! Thank you so much for creating it!
When placing Wingie near a loud sound source, lower the internal gain settings and avoid using speakers to prevent wild feedback. Thanks for sharing your experiences. You‘ve found some creative uses of the Wingie. I'm thrilled you're having a great time with it. If you have any stories or discoveries with Wingie, please don't hesitate to tell me!
@@MengQiMusic I really like to use the wingie on big speakers when performing live so the internal mics are not an option I guess. But never mind - the line in jack input solves this perfectly. I run a stereo cable from my Zoom F3 recorder, sending the AKG contact mic to one resonator and some field recordings to the second one. Check out this tune I made if you want. All the harmonies come from wingie: ruclips.net/video/UG2Dp5hH0n0/видео.html Oh, and the MIDI in feature is so great - it expands the melodic range of the device so much beyond the three octaves that you can change with the little switches. You can get surprisingly rumbly and rich heavy low basses out of it. And when sending in some wild MIDI arpeggios the wingie really starts to sing. Only thing I miss sometimes is having three more sliders to control the mix/decay/volume for each resonator separately 😊
@@tatratank I'm listening to your track. It's powerful, and the ds are like rapid streams underneath the water's surface. The scattered beats fit perfectly with your unique style. 🎶 When using MIDI, you can control mix/decay/volume for each channel with CCs over 2 MIDI channels. Check the manual for details, and let me know if you have any questions!
wonderful addition to my earscape this weekend! honestly I think the wingie2 does take some time to become personal and natural and I feel like I'm just starting to really understand it. thank you!
Very sweet playing. Thanks for sharing 😊
Fantastic! Thank you! and best (always!) from NYC. :-) -ant
