  • I am really enjoying the instrument again. So here is just a little speedy improv with plenty of mistakes, repetitious runs, redundant displays of the two licks that I know and some bad timing. But it is fun. A very special thanks to N&MCreation for the backing track. Tons of free backing tracks and they are all of the highest quality and they freely share them.
Here is a link to their channel:

Hope you enjoy some of it and thanks for watching! More coming soon.

Although tired and beat after work, it's posts like this Johnny that make me pick up my axe and play for awhile. Thanks Bro

Yes, spot on. Deserves more views. Nice work Johnny... Yet as I write this , some 20 yr old (wise old soul) influencer will be getting 1000's of views talking rubbish. They all should (imho) go to Walmart and 'buy a ladder' so they can get off their 'High Horse'

@@johnnyanderson8901 Oh, I'm more than happy to spread the word. I look for 2 things when I watch guitar players on You Tube. Quality guitar playing and quality person. You are both Johnny.

Nicely done Sir!! Going thru some tendonitis /carpel tunnel issues with my left hand and it sucks big time YET if perfectly positioned on the neck I can go all day long ..the second i have improper grip it sends shooting pain through my wrist thumb and hand SO almost acts as a auto corrector when slacking in left hand grip...Don't get me wrong it needs to be fixed medically but ill spray iy with lidocaine wrap up wrist tight NOTHING will stop me from playing ....Enjoyed the shredding and I am right with you on your appreciation of Yngwie and the genre he created. Its my preference when listening to guitarist or music in general. Must be old souls as it truly resonates in my person ..Ive heard this music for hundred's of years ..

Fantastic Vibrato.. Gives me vertigo. That's when ya know the vibrato is a happening thing! Nice "Speed of Light" licks to boot.. "Go Johnny Go Go Go" Do you play that Synth in the background ,or is it merely a stage prop?

    R U using 8's or 9's for string gauge..I'm using 9.5's as a happy medium in E flat tuning...

Thanks for watching. I am using Ernie Ball Extra Slinkys which are the 8 gauge. I am tuned standard. I would like to be a half step down but I have gotten use to standard over the last 8 years or so out of necessity.

In order to sound any more like Yngwie Malmsteen you'd have to just play Rising Force covers
