I can certainly attest to parts of that statement. Supcom has an insanely good story, multiple factions (asymmetrical gameplay), but PA is very good in its own right. Larger scale, multiple planet gameplay, orbital units- planetary warfare- things supcom just doesn't have. If they were both the same price, and I'm not going to take the time to price them, I'd say buy supcom. It even still has a living community (FAF). PA is great, too, but you're right, supcom is still better.

In the original Dune novel and movie, they are vastly overpowered by the Fedaykin Fremen warriors armed with Atreides sound-wave technology and riding on the backs of giant sand worms, led by their leader Paul "Muad'Dib" - I've definitely made spelling errors there, this is all from memory.

Haven't played the game in ages but I'm pretty sure you could have nuked the commander while it was travelling, nukes travel relatively fast compared to other interplanetary units.
I still love watching the end because I was blue in that game and I knew that bug about sending your commander to a moon which is gonna crash another moon/ planet :P
In case you did not know, you can use your commander or fabrication units to speed up construction of more units. Just select the unit you want to assist with and right click on the factory you want to speed up. (It also works with nuke construction ;D)
TheDerpyDerpster Not everyone knows that, 1. 90% of people I come up against or are teamed up with in multiplayer do not know about it 2. The maker of this video didn't use that when they could have boosted production by a massive amount. They had the economy to support it, so they could have easily gotten about double the Bolo production.
TheDerpyDerpster Here's a tip then: Don't make the mistake of only going for advanced bots unless you have a ridiculous production rate. And don't just focus on getting eco, have a standing army to defend against a mid/ early game rush.

You do realize that the server automatically pauses the game when someone loses their connection right? That's to provide a grace period for them to reconnect. Mashing the "resume" button fucks them out of that opportunity.

i would have turtled up, built about ten nukes and then just taken pot shots all over the planet - crude but effective. Failing that i would have still turtled up and made like 20 hulkens around my base to kill everything
I had a game like this once, I built a defense and outlasted most players.....built nukes and held blue player at gun point and told him to fight the red or i would nuke him. Right as his men hit the red I nuked the red and he crushed them...then I nuked him.

Using the Uber preset for this game would have killed the game. In future games I`ll try to remember but in this game I gotta keep it low
