Planetary Annihilation is a real time strategy game in which you control massive robot armies using units which vary from naval and vehicles to standard infantry(bots) and orbital units, you can even use nukes and smash entire planets using celestial bodies like moons and asteroids or even other planets in order destroy your opponents across multiple different solar systems. The game is finally released i and is available to purchase on steam or the Uber store. You can play in the single player mode Galactic War against A.I bots and soon to be added human opponents or you can tackle the multiple and take on opponents in Free For All or Team Battles. The game has currently gone through Beta and Alpha releases so far in its development after starting off on kickstarter.

I feel this game is kind of underrated. It's fun and easy to pick up but still requires some skill.
The game is shite compared to supcom. Go play that instead
I can certainly attest to parts of that statement. Supcom has an insanely good story, multiple factions (asymmetrical gameplay), but PA is very good in its own right. Larger scale, multiple planet gameplay, orbital units- planetary warfare- things supcom just doesn't have.
If they were both the same price, and I'm not going to take the time to price them, I'd say buy supcom. It even still has a living community (FAF). PA is great, too, but you're right, supcom is still better.
All you need to do is harness the means of production from the brougiousie to win

I am abssolutely in awe of RTS players, especially ones that can play at this fast a level. When I play, I nervously lasso everything, click on the enemy and die within the first 3 minutes.
Sigh. Sardaukar are elite soldiers from the book series Dune by Frank Herbert. Also made into some questionable quality movies.
Some of the most epic stories ever written. Well worth it.

I guess someone else already said this in another comment, but Sardaukar (spelling?) is a reference to the Dune universe. The Sardaukar are the elite troops of the Emperor, specially trained and hardened to become the "ultimate" stormtrooper class. In the original Dune novel and movie, they are vastly overpowered by the Fedaykin Fremen warriors armed with Atreides sound-wave technology and riding on the backs of giant sand worms, led by their leader Paul "Muad'Dib" - I've definitely made spelling errors there, this is all from memory.
This would be epic for esports. I would watch.

everything you're doing is on point except why the multiple commandings on your units? you only need to click once obvs

Not that I want to be that guy that complains about a player's playing, I'm sure I've overlooked plenty of good opportunities.
Haven't played the game in ages but I'm pretty sure you could have nuked the commander while it was travelling, nukes travel relatively fast compared to other interplanetary units.

+Mikael Nilsson I tried to do something but everytime I went back to the moon with the metal spots I got no chanche to built something which survived longer than some minutes... so I prefer hanging out on the moon than die :P

Came here searching oldschool Total Annihilation vids.Was not disappointed.
In case you did not know, you can use your commander or fabrication units to speed up construction of more units. Just select the unit you want to assist with and right click on the factory you want to speed up. (It also works with nuke construction ;D)

TheDerpyDerpster Not everyone knows that, 1. 90% of people I come up against or are teamed up with in multiplayer do not know about it 2. The maker of this video didn't use that when they could have boosted production by a massive amount. They had the economy to support it, so they could have easily gotten about double the Bolo production.

TheDerpyDerpster Here's a tip then: Don't make the mistake of only going for advanced bots unless you have a ridiculous production rate. And don't just focus on getting eco, have a standing army to defend against a mid/ early game rush.

I still love watching the end because I was blue in that game and I knew that bug about sending your commander to a moon which is gonna crash another moon/ planet :P
You do realize that the server automatically pauses the game when someone loses their connection right? That's to provide a grace period for them to reconnect. Mashing the "resume" button fucks them out of that opportunity.

I don’t know why people that turtle and wall get so much hate. Yeah it’s annoyingly sometimes, but it’s in the game.
i would have turtled up, built about ten nukes and then just taken pot shots all over the planet - crude but effective.
Failing that i would have still turtled up and made like 20 hulkens around my base to kill everything

I had a game like this once, I built a defense and outlasted most players.....built nukes and held blue player at gun point and told him to fight the red or i would nuke him. Right as his men hit the red I nuked the red and he crushed them...then I nuked him.
