I get first AOR on December while I was with my wife in Somalia they received my application on October 14 2022 now I'm a Canadian citizen I'm back home with wife since October 19 2022 do I have to be in Canada I did out land sponsorship Will it effect me because I'm with my family in Somalia
I wouldn't know for sure but if I were you I would raise a web-form immediately with IRCC to inform them about change in my resident status. Until I do not hear from IRCC acknowledging the status change, I would assume that the application is continued to be processed with Sponsor's status as a PR. In that case I wouldn't be out of Canada for any period longer than a reasonable (~2-4 weeks) trip. But happy for you that you are with your family! :)
Hi Lavleen, We know the wait can be hard but that is all you can do at the moment. 4 months is usually common to not get an AOR but when you do the rest of status would move pretty fast. During our time, there was one couple who received Decision Made by Feb 2021 while we were still with AOR1, and we got PPR before that couple. It's weird. Was yours paper application, or online?
@@lavleenkaur2405 Alright! So there is nothing to worry as there is a good chance if anything goes wrong you will still be notified wherever you are. All the best!
@@OleCanada Ya they are doing quite weird things based on visa offices i guess. Many people of october 2021 got their passports stamped . Its just 4 months for them
Hi team, Had a query. 1) Once the spousal outland PR applicantion is submitted for a spouse(principal applicant), what is the maximum time for which the Sponsor can leave Canada. Is there a link anywhere on the website which mentions about this. Note: Spousal outland PR applicantion was submitted based on court marriage. 2) In case there are some religious rituals that need to be performed in the upcoming months for which the sponsor needs to leave Canada, does that need to be mentioned in the application. If yes, where to mention, in a supporting letter and in form imm 5532? Your advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Here's my response to the questions respectively. 1. If you are Canadian citizen then you are all good to travel and there's no time-limit how long this travel can be. If you are PR then technically you have to be in the country, and you should not travel. But in my personal opinion and experience a short travel (say 3-4 weeks max) should be ok and justifiable, though there's no formal info written anywhere. 2. There's no need to share any info which is not pertinent to the application. I do not think there's any need to disclose the rituals in application.
@@OleCanada If the sponsor (PR) travels outside Canada for more than a month while his application is in progress, will he be denied entry if he returns back?
Hi guys, is there a rule that the sponsor (PR) can stay out of Canada with primary applicant in India for longer duration e.g. 3 months if the Sponsor Approval letter is received?? Sponsor would continue working from home (India) for a Canadian employer. Thanks in advance.

hey that is a million-dollar question and unfortunately there's no definite answer for that. In our case we got AOR after about 50 days but have also seen some getting it in 20 days and some after 4-5 months. All we can do is WAIT. Sorry could not help you really :(
Can u explain should I go for online or offline application ??? . I have got pr and moved with my daughter to Canada and spouse was non accompanying spouse mentioned in copr ...help me to understand
I have prepared a video around the same topic and have shared my opinion on that as well. Maybe you will find it helpful. ruclips.net/video/Yp3zSAB83ME/видео.html
There would not be any need to inform IRCC if the travel is going to be just few days or 2-3 weeks. However, if the travel period is beyond a reasonable period it is best to inform IRCC by way of webform of the reason for the travel. Anyways, this is our personal suggestion and we would recommend not to travel for a longer period unless its not an emergency. Hope this helps!
