So I gather that spending time in space can cause farsightedness? I don't suppose you could send s nearsightedness person to space to see if they come back "cured"? Or are there too many other variables to contend with?

What I 'm thinking would be great is an MRI (or some other equivalent device) on the station to get a look at the distribution of fluids in an astronaut during flight.

So I would have normal vision in space since I am nearsighted on earth?

What influence does increased fluid pressure in the brain have on intelligence... as measured by IQ? Can near-sighted vision be corrected by increased fluid pressure?

    Very interesting, Thankyou.
Just as well I'm too old & stupid to be an astronaut, I'm way too vain for glasses!

This is a pretty significant thing to figure out a cure for if we are to colonize other planets. Good luck Mr. Stenger :)
