Which episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark? scared you the most back in the day?!
Laughing in the dark
The Shiny Red Bicycle and the one with the girl in the mirror, hands down.
Zeebo the Clown was indeed the most haunting in Afraid of the Dark for me
Laughing in the Dark
Dark Music
The Lonely Ghost
The Dollmaker
@@Moonguided The Shiny Red Bicycle for sure!
The show had its scary episodes, but the opening with the creepy music always got me.
Showing them small random clips without any context probably won’t be too creepy and won’t show them why the show was awesome and holds up. They should watch full episodes to get the full picture lol
not to mention, they're watching them on their phones in the middle of the day LOL
Exactly what I was thinking. That frozen ghost kid for example was creepier in context.
Yes. Context really matters with these clips.
Let's be real here. Overall, the show doesn't really hold up so well anymore lol but context is still important.
I agree 💯
Watching them try and cover their anticipation with horrible humor is classic lol
A *lot* of Canadian actors got a start on "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" or "Goosebumps," since both series were filmed *in* Canada...
How have these kids not seen the entire series? They should be required to watch/study every episode to prepare for the reboot series.
hey which was that episode where,
a boy shift to new house and Ghost appears from a wall of his bedroom every night
and then his brother gets sick

"is that slime?" lol i've never felt so old until this day
I'd absolutely recommend the original series to kids today! It's fun to laugh at the dated moments and even more fun to get creeped out by the scary ones.
Loving the new series so far too!
Kids nowadays don't know the greatest decade was the 90s. Great shows like this. Great music. Great movies. Simple life with no internet.
The internet existed in the 90s
I agree that the 90s were rad and kids today should have access to the shows we grew up on, but writing off everything post-90s isn't fair. Nostalgia is great, but don't let it stick you in a rut where you don't allow yourself to appreciate the new stuff too.
I guess no twitter means simple? People just didnt cry about everything back then. You didnt like something get over it, that was the overall mentality. 90s was the best though, you still get a like.

They all looked pretty scary to me
I feel so old watching this and I’m only 25 🤦🏽♂️😂
im 28 lol
Try 34. I watched the original episodes as they premiered.
@@gambit85 you got me beat lol
I can relate. 29 years old here... I remember the original show.
Same
they should've reacted to the intro!! That always scared me from watching..
This was not scary in the 90s! I miss the original opening introduction to "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" Not scary either! This show ROCKED!!!
It was just a weird show wasn’t too scary but it wasn’t something an 4 year old would watch and be ok with
@@YSuniverse856; I agree!
it used to come on... every single 5 to 6 in the evening.. when it just got dark and the theme plays.. okay fine I was 4 when I watched it and it was just haunting.. I couldn't watch the intro without screaming once.
I remember watching this show in 4th grade, and they have a new mini-series I'm hyped for the conclusion of Are You Afraid Of The Dark?
I love "Are you afraid of the dark" I bet if the midnight society was real, I'd be in it
This show is great and was genuinely scary for a kids show. Still holds up today. Goosebumps on the other hand doesnt, but is more popular for some reason.
This is lovely!
WOW EMILY IS HERE!
But the whole point of the show is the brilliant *script*
Some of the greatest hits (like "Sixth Sense") - took their storyline from AYAOTD!
