The cohesion, sportsmanship and teamwork on this team have been a joy to witness. Meanwhile Team Neme is team spirit nightmare but they've just got exceptional individual players for the tourney format. Drututt in particular is unbelievably consistent and has a Faker level champ ocean, boss' champ pool really got exposed in this comp. GG Spear, if you play in another tournament I hope to see a more solid champ lineup going into it.
id say more than that is the fact that their plan for every game was to abuse spearshot, i'd say he's performed really well in the first 2 brackets, even on champs like ornn and gnar

Team Nemesis has good team spirit lol, it’s just that Drututt and Aribo express their love to each other with verbal filth. Nemesis being kinda toxic but still babysitting everyone in terms of macro plus the wholesome botlane make for a good balance
Gotta give credit to Nemesis and his team for there performance in this game compared to the previous. They got past there biggest hurdle, which was own team and managed to coordinate well through out. Even the meme that was Aribo clutched the final game in this series.
@@magi2162 Aribo was far from being the MVP. Sure he made more ganks than usual, but his full clearing obsession still showed up a lot in this match. Drututt's the actual MVP. He gapped Spear so hard that he troll-picked Briar just to make the third round more interesting.
@Drakonus_ I feel like the only reason drututt performed so well is because Aribo (and tommyg) enabled him with the dives whilst natty had a late start and was dealing with his jg being invaded by aribo and trying to farm to compensate rather than ganking a lane. Granted drututt was very strong with the lead, but the lead is what allowed him to perform that well, hence why I say that Aribo is at the source of the teams success
@@magi2162look at the first game brother, Drut made a questionable roam that made him lose basically 2 whole waves. That's how playing in a team works, he helped kill Xin, Aribo helped him get back into the game.

He was kind of quiet the whole time, tried out Akali again, and ended up inting. He then asked chat to ask Spear to duo, but he didn't respond. Soon, Spear's whole chat was spamming him to duo with Brohan, but Brohan told them to stop and that it's fine. After like 5 minutes of silence, he was like "It's just... they beat us the most easily." Then he said he had too much to think about and that he might stream later. He just seemed really disappointed in himself.
@@SungFu they had no chance of winning, he shouldn't be that sad. I get it's competitive even as a for fun tournament, but simply by individual skill level every player on Spearshot's team(ESPECIALLY spearshot himself) were astrogapped.
I honestly think they had a chance if natty didnt have the worst calls out of the whole tourney as well as lowering morale after first game where he pathed for lvl3 instead of lvl4 for some reason and was behind udyr the whole game. Which is what allowed spear to be dived so easily all the time @anon_148
@@anon_148Except the game isn’t just about individual skill level. Team nemesis individually should be bodying most team but they almost lost 2 bo5 g5 twice. They have flaw with some of their drafting and jungler as well. Botlane can also underperform depending on the day.
First mistake was letting someone talk you into taking tp over ignite on panth. Ur the best/one of the best panth OTPs in the world, if ur hunch says ignite then go with it. Especially into druttut on his best champ, securing a lead is vital. Its hardly what cost you the tournament but it says something about the mentality going into this series. The teamplay and win through small leads was not the move here boss, u guys needed to risk everything on a first game stomp to crush dretts and nemes mental then "smooth" sailing from there hopefully.
It’s also might be somewhat of a reason for him not taking advantage of pantheon’s much stronger early game, if he pressured drut more he probably would have been able to do more. Though I still don’t know if he’d kill him because I feel drut would adjust his playstyle to be much safer due to ignite threat.
they just had an easy bracket. Drututt's team had to run the bracket through the strongest teams in the tournament in series 1 and 3. Either of those two teams would have wiped spearshot.
As good as the previous games were to watch i had a feeling eventually spear's shallow champ pool would catch up to him and here we are nice try boss it was a good tournament
idk if it was the champ pool. Even on panth he got dove multiple times and noone can say hes not the goat on that champ. Altough he played unoptimally first game too but idk if that actually changes anything when the 3v1 him multiple times.

I felt like the energy and performance just wasn’t there today. Comms were iffy, everything just felt off. I think team nemesis was really well prepared and had a solid plan. I think team spear just couldn’t adapt today. Keep your chin up boss. remember, its about improving, not winning. I would’ve loved to see you move on, but it is what it is.
@@TOBY-jy7bz Nemesis's team has thrown multiple times in this tournament and at times winning by luck. They should've lost in the first series tbh. Everybody on Spear's team just sounded depressed and mentally unwell before the first match even started.

How does the pantheon/camille matchup usually go? Cause drututt is unbelievably cracked on that champion but i didnt think spear would get shutdown on his otp like that.

Nah spear is godlike on panth but thats it, him with no panth cannot carry so playing for other lanes is better. His gnar is ok but he doesnt play it in this series.
Sadly after first game their was nothing more that could be done. He used his pantheon on the first match and since he can't pick him again and he doesn't have another carry toplane at the same level as his pantheon (his jayce and kled are not even middle of the road) he was stuck playing tank toplane. in reverse, drututt play a LOT of hypercarry toplane so after the pantheon is gone Spearshot is free food for Drututt :/
the ornn pick g2 was terrible but I cant blame him, all his other champ are probably on my level and I'm gold lol. And also Drut is one of the best toplaner in this tournament so it's just over.

G2 the moment kayle is lv16 there's pretty much no hope left unless Drut trolls giga hard. G3 is kinda close but Spear's mental is really bad and he makes lots of int plays. While bot lane scales really hard and they win several fights, they have no frontline if Spear is gone and he has to def bot in last fight, and also they lost 50/50 on elder drag so yea. It just comes down to overall team nemesis is better and Spear is a one trick and in this tournament he can only pick panth ONCE. Also while they 3 man top, team Spear are not in position to dive even after the dive top has finished so Miella( team neme's adc) can just fall back, give up some cs but not dying
Zac is okay but drututt was kinda disrespecting for content with the briar pick and spear still didn't do well. The ornn was just an awful self counter who is basically a free game for drututt to get Kayle 16 with 12 cs/min. Kinda surprised no one on his team told spear about the ornn Kayle matchup

Natty was off today. None of the usual shot calling, super passive plays, super unsure. His calls brought the team together. I think they could have won if he was at his best. Spear psyched himself out in the first match too. Drututt got way too many good trades into spear who was in his own head.

I think the consensus was that each game your team lost confidence, but progressively got better performance. If game 3 was won by spear i think it wouldve been a reverse sweep. The thing that nearly lost nemesis's team in quarter finals was internal problems after losing. Unlike spears team, they flame and bring each other down while spear was bringing everyone up. Had the mentals shifted it wouldve been a 5 game series with an intense game 5.

I'm not saying it would have happened, but skillwise the teams were very close, but performance wise it was very 1 sided. If the performance gap closes then a reverse sweep is possible and could happen. Especially since the difference between being reversed swept and reverse sweeping are completely different. You can't assume they would just stomp regardless of mental.
Rip, i wanted Spear to win against the braindead dru since his champ pool is way too elo boosting. - To people in the replies, i really dont care if drut is good or not. Its the fact that his champ pool is the most toxic braindead champs you can put in any game, mainly true damage champs. A few handful champs that cull an entire class from viability, even the most greedy ass company will never put hp% true damage on their game since they know it just breaks the class balance as a whole. And players who uses such champs, are part of the problem why there's more problematic champs leading to more toxicity in game. -Edit: Iirc Spear also got invited on the Dumbs arena tournament where Potent who have same problematic champ pool as Drut got invited. A supposedly "fun" tournament turned sour quickly due to a single player. High elo players especially streamers dont complain about it since they risk their career and they know themselves they cannot change how riot thinks, unless a champ creates a meme like ksante. TLDR, players who use true damage champs suck dick and remove the fun out of any thing they touch.
Elo boosting or not, Drut is an insane player on his champ and he's obviously diff-ing every toplaner in this tournament. Also Spear is a one trick and he can only pick pantheon once. It's not like he is gonna carry on orrn or smth

I don’t think the top focus killed team spear, but i think the fact that they got 0 compensation for it costed them.

No they did. Spear's bot was 2v1ing every time TommyG roamed, so his bot was pretty much in the lead most of the time.

I think the consensus was that each game your team lost confidence, but progressively got better performance. If game 3 was won by spear i think it wouldve been a reverse sweep. The thing that nearly lost nemesis's team in quarter finals was internal problems after losing. Unlike spears team, they flame and bring each other down while spear was bringing everyone up. Had the mentals shifted it wouldve been a 5 game series with an intense game 5.

Did you even watch nemesis in the quarter finals? They got frustrated so easily after their losses. Its a mental game, and spears team had superior mental stamina, and even though Nemesis's team outplayed them all 3 games, all it takes is one mistake to ruin the best of 5.
I'm not saying that if they lost then they would lose the next 2 as well, I'm just pointing out that given the situation and how their team reacted in the past, could leave way for spears team to take it to a game 5 through mental alone.

I'm not saying it would have happened, but skillwise the teams were very close, but performance wise it was very 1 sided. If the performance gap closes then a reverse sweep is possible and could happen. Especially since the difference between being reversed swept and reverse sweeping are completely different. You can't assume they would just stomp regardless of mental.

To people in the replies, i really dont care if drut is good or not. Its the fact that his champ pool is the most toxic braindead champs you can put in any game, mainly true damage champs. A few handful champs that cull an entire class from viability, even the most greedy ass company will never put hp% true damage on their game since they know it just breaks the class balance as a whole.
And players who uses such champs, are part of the problem why there's more problematic champs leading to more toxicity in game.

Iirc Spear also got invited on the Dumbs arena tournament where Potent who have same problematic champ pool as Drut got invited.
A supposedly "fun" tournament turned sour quickly due to a single player. High elo players especially streamers dont complain about it since they risk their career and they know themselves they cannot change how riot thinks, unless a champ creates a meme like ksante.
TLDR, players who use true damage champs suck dick and remove the fun out of any thing they touch.
