Hey guys! Thanks for all the support! It means a lot to me. Just to let you know - I'm making a 3 part series at the moment on how to make an MLO from scratch as it is insanely requested! Just give me some time as it is a tedious procedure I want to make as simple as possible for you all!
Thx pers the amount of models i have built but have always stumbled when it can to the collisions, this tutorial has got me eager to start modeling for RedM again, Many Many Thx.
I loved the video, I'm new to using Codex and Blender and I really want to learn how to make interiors for Redm, it would be great if you made a tutorial video making an interior from scratch, it would be of great help to me and others who want to learn.
btw maybe to make it easier. i would always chose the ones that exist in the patchpack archives bc those are ones R* updated via patches and such. not that they fixed a missing collision and then you edit that one and basically reintroduce the bug again on your server. and the hi@ collisions are only for detail, like railings, and other small detail which is usually used for weapon collisions so you can shoot through stuff for example. while the other ones are the more simple collisions that contain the big stuff. so in most times you can just ignore the hi@ collisions. and interestingly i deleted collision pieces before and there was not a issue. but only did some prop collisions in amberino, so maybe different in cities.
You can delete them and duplicate them for sure, i did it for my mlo with no issue back in the day, only stairs and custom attribute mesh cannot be deleted :) and nice one Pers ! And don't forget to do the other Hi collision to allow PNJ (ped player or PNJ) and bullet etc to go thru :)
You can't delete them without the possibility of errors. Sometimes it'll be fine, most times not. I suggest sinking them just to be safe. The same concepts don't apply to RedM yet as they do in FiveM. Thanks for the tip about the PNJ!
@@PersOnTwitch I did a Van horn mlo available on my tebex, and mutch more mlo i didn"t post, it's kinda trial and error on collision, but for me, delete them works most the time :) and no problem Pers, keep up at making good tut's :)
You say "with a simple click we can distinguish which one this belongs to" 8:22 but I can't actually see how you knew that, I didn't see anything light up or anywhere it told you. Could you expand? EDIT: Actually on close inspection I can just see that the triangle is highlighted on 8.
cool video but i have a problem i cant find the programe codeX .. codewalker is only for gtaV correct? can some one help me and tell me were i can find the CodeX program ?
Hm, I've tried to use the export option, but for me it says, codeX cant export to xml Maybe its a version issue? what version did you use for the video?
Hey Perse! Make sure you hop in my discord and check the pinned messages in the support channel we have. Ktos has a unsupported Codex build that allows xml exports. :)
Pers, please, could you teach how to manipulate a building, removing collisions and opening doors, and then importing it into Red Dead? This video stops and it is precisely after that that I have more doubts about how to import it into the game!
@@durangoymapsopening doors depends on the model. If the doors are part of the building’s drawable model it’s tricky, if not it’s possible to move or edit the door prop inside of ymap
i have codex 19 too, but alltime i do a export i become an error. how do you have fix this? i have mean xml exports are do not work at this time on codex?
As per my video, make sure you have got the Ktos build. Donate to dexy and grab it from their discord. I link it in my google drive in the description.

Hey i'm using codex_020 and unable to export the collision it says we are planning to release it in the future. Can you confirm which version of codex you are using to export the collion. Thanks for the help

How did you export and place the files on the redM server?

So in the "finder", whatever you click on will light up. Usually like one of the shapes!

Long shot here but I cant import the files into Blender. I can from FiveM but not RedM for some reason
