In the UK we didn't get the engine cover for the 2013 model year.
I spent an hour with a pick and a hoover with a straw tapped to the nozzle, cleaning out the bits of leafs and stuff from around the 3 plugs.
The previous owner must have lived near a tree because at first I couldn't even get the spark plug socket to reach the spark plug to undo it,because of all the dried solid crap around the plugs😲

Great video! Short and to-the-point without any needless small talk. Showed me exactly what I needed to know and got the torque specs thrown in as a bonus!

I have a factory service manual for the Ford Ecosport SUV. It has the same identical 1.0L Ecoboost engine.
There is a specific spark plugs torque of 135 in-lbs. Which is just over 11ft-lbs. 11.2.
The 15 ft-lbs is a generic number and range I find on the sparkplug packaging

Is there enough room for a normal 14mm socket or do you need to use a specialty thin wall 14mm spark plugs socket

The coil screws should be torqued to 10Nm and the sparkplugs to 13Nm.

Well, I've been driving a 2015 1.0 Ecoboost Focus for almost 6 years now, no issue so far apart from regular maintenance. If you can take care of your car, it won't break down, easy as that.

Silly comment bro. If you take care of the engine as Ford suggests, it will not have any problem.
