    This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!

    Just bought my house and was looking for inspiration. This video gave me more than I needed. Storage, 2 work benches, TV, future tools/toys, etc. Thank you sir and well done!

    This is basically maximum real estate usage and peak modularity, this is great

    I have some garage attic space that looks quite a bit like yours. One of the first things I did when we bought the house in 2012. Bought that same Werner ladder. The joists in my attic space had quite a bit of house wiring running across the top, and I'm not an electrician, so I needed a way to lay the floorboards without the wires getting in the way. what I did was add spacer blocks on top of the joists, with gaps to allow the wiring to continue to go where ever it goes...... I used 5/8ths OSB for my floor material - cheapest alternative with good strength. (I thought 1/2 a bit too thin....) I've got about 1/2 the garage attic space covered.

    I built this exact table after watching your video, I went 8x3 ft and it's solid as a rock. Thanks for the video, until I found this I was going a down different and inferior path. I subscribed, and look forward to more videos.

    This is one of the better designs that I have seen on RUclips. More sturdy I think then most. I am considering doing this same thing in my garage. Never can have enough work bench space, but who has a lot of room to have 'em? nice solution! Thanks for sharing your video!

    Excellent work. You're my kind of guy. You've got most things sectioned off, which is mostly what organization is all about. My problem is I want to have work space, but still be able to park 2 cars in my garage. I'm thinking "origami."

      thats what I'm trying to do I just made a bench myself it's my first video on RUclips similar to this one but made to my liking and it's strong can hold 400 lbs no problem his design is better but I used the materials I had laying around the video quality isn't the best but you'll be able to see what I'm talking about you should check it out if you want to get on the road to being able to parking 2 cars in a 2 car garage while having the ability to work in it when you need to

    Shoutout to the CX-9. Love ours.
    The air compressor station is a good setup, thanks, I’ll be stealing that idea.

    Thanks! I'll be building a similar workbench next week. The only thing I see happening on this one is that part of the forces from the stuff you put ontop are going outward because of the pivot point created by the legs so the axial forces ARE very well on the hinges and they amount for about 1/4 of the total load of a top-centered body.

    You have done a great job in organization. I especially like your overhead shelving. The one with something like a bed frame is very interesting.

    Hi, love the work bench, I'm making one, have to. I like the hinge and support transfer to the header board you used. The hinge must have a 1.5" width to fit on what's left of the sandwiched 2 X 4 after it's overlap with the header and yours seem to be even less than that. Where did you get the hinges or any advice you can give please.

    Be very careful with that attic storage. My sister had one in her house and one time when she pulled the handle to lower the drop-down door, the ladder suddenly extended, hitting her and breaking her back! After a long recovery, she is OK but still wary of it.

    I just build one for my garage, great idea for saving space. Just make sure do you use heavy screws for the hinges. Not deck screws. It's a lot of weight. The video really helped.

    How did you make the overhead storage rack for extra lumber.

  • @AtlantaTerry
    @AtlantaTerry 5 лет назад

    A question: rather than fussing with the angles of the wood legs where they meet the wall and floor, why not simply round the end?
    Then wherever the wood touches concrete, there will be firm contact.

    Don't know if you're still answering any questions, but what is the height of your bench? And do the legs fold in at all? Love the idea looking to tackle something like this 1 weekend

  • @Ramsdl52

    where do you keep all your fun stuff? fishing poles and tackle boxes etc.

    • @ryanjetskipro
      @ryanjetskipro  7 лет назад

      At the lake house. Seriously though. Only keep one fishing pole in the garage. You may not have seen it but it's tucked up under the overhead storage over the refrigerator. I could easily store more there by adding simple hooks.

      Actually got them printed from Staples.com for my twins 1st birthday party. Staples offers blueprint printing services but instead of uploading blueprints, you can upload pictures to be printed. It's pretty cheap too

    Be very cautious with that CX9. The 3.6 V6 water pump fails and floods the engine with coolant. Very poor design.
