Man I've been and OG Subscriber to this channel and I gotta say, it's still one of my favs. As a Dad with a small home garage who enjoys learning more about their 22 WRX, this is totally relatable. Hope this channel blows up as it should!
Right on, so glad to hear you have been watching all this time and you enjoy my channel. #OG Thanks for all of your support Paul. I am pushing hard to create the highest quality content the rivals the big channels. Hope the RUclips algorithm finds me at some point. See you on the next video.
Glad to hear you love the video. Congrats on your new WRX as well. The FA24dit is so good! This car is awesome. Dont worry someday you will have a garage. I remember working on my car in the driveway or the street back in the old days too. Thanks for watching.
People like you motivate lot of others in the community to dare, go ahead and work their cars by themselves. You made it look lot easier than I imagined.
That is one of the nicest comments anyone has ever left for me on my channel. It is very nice to hear, thanks for all of your support with the channel. The install really was that easy as well.👍
The stock car is still plenty of fun to drive. But with a few mods and a pro tune the car is a blast to drive. 375 torque to wheels now and the car pulls like a rocket from the bottom end. Thanks for watching and have fun with your VB.👍
I agree the piping is way better without those giant couplers that I've seen. Great install video. You have a perfect helper as well, she did a good job.
You bet Jeremy. Now that I have my Pro Tune and suspension done I am very happy with the car overall. Going to enjoy it like this for a while and maybe upgrade to STI 6 piston brakes later on. Thanks for watching
JDM got to say, I appreciate what you do for the community, you have helped me through a lot of decisions I've made!! One day my 22 wrx will be up there with ya. You're Number 1 RUclips channel for VB's please keep up the strive to make your beast! 🎉🎉
I love all your contents, I appreciate the fact that you really spend the time to actually go in details. I also love the fact that we have something in common which is our 7yr old daughters 😊daughters
Glad to hear you appreciate the detail, most viewers don't leave me feedback like that. I am considering cutting the install details out of my videos to shorten them down for a more cinematic experience instead. I hope you get your daughter out in the garage with you working on the VB WRX. Thanks for watching.
Heck yeah man that is awesome, have fun with the install. Thanks for the channel support, glad to hear your enjoying my VB WRX videos. Thanks for watching.👍
I just discovered you channel and you do an amazing job of giving a detailed instructions of installs. I got my 22 WRX in March and your channel is certainly showing me plenty of things I can do myself!
Awesome, thank you! Glad you appreciate the level if detail in my install videos. I spend so many extra hours to make videos like this. Thanks for watching and have fun with your VB mods.🔧
Great installation video! I just hit 3k miles in my 22 wrx and the car has been awesome to me. Haven’t done any major engine mods just yet but waiting on my paint matched fenders and sti wing to come in at the end of this month !
That is awesome! I want to get my stuff paint matched as well. Was focusing on power mods first. Thought that would get more views and grow my channel faster. Glad to hear you liked the install video. I spent 20 hours in video editing on this one. Have fun with your VB mods and thanks for watching my channel.
Its a slippery slope once you get started. I told my wife I was going keep it stock when I bought it. Thanks for watching and have fun with your VB build.
I pick up my first Subaru tomorrow (23 Sport Tech). I'm both excited and scared (the engine reliability) but I absolutely love the styling. Keep up the good work!
Love your videos man. I haven't touched my car yet, but probably soon after i stash a bit of cash away i'm going to embark on modding it for real. Instructional stuff like this will be super helpful in future since I don't have a ton of experience on mechanical tasks like this.
I've had my VB for about 15 months already, and I love every thing about it. I have been slowly implementing the same mods you've done for your car onto my own and your videos have been extremely helpful. Thank you for all your hard work.
You bet, glad to hear you find my WRX videos helpful. Thanks for your kind word, I truly do work hard to create the highest quality content I am capable of.👍
Get after it I think you can definitely do this install, it was pretty easy. After watching my video I believe you would have the ability to do it yourself at home. Heck yeah brother. A must have investment. There is a noticeable difference in power gains with the FMIC. 🔧 Thanks for watching my channel and have fun with your install.
I appreciate that! It makes me feel good to hear positive feedback for all the time I spend to film and edit the highest detail possible. Have fun with your VB mods.
Enjoying the content; just bought a ‘23 VB this month to replace my 2020 Giulia lease and have watched a number of your vids for a few months as I researched my next vehicle. Keep it up. Had a new 2016 VA for about 20mos and wasn’t a fan that all of the top FMIC options I saw eliminated the crash bar; felt like an unnecessary safety issue to introduce to my daily driver which was also a family hauler. Hopefully the aftermarket produces something trustworthy for those of us who might get an FMIC because the heat soak I experienced with my VA, along with the stupid throttle tuning, made summer driving in traffic a less than optimal experience and I’d like to add an FMIC for longevity and efficiency rather than just for performance.
Congrats on your 23 WRX. This car is awesome and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. ETS has a crash beam out. I will probably grab one and do an install video. My car is a family hauler as well and I would like to have the extra safety for myself as well. Glad to hear you enjoy my videos. Thanks for watching!
Good to hear you pro tuned your VB as well. How are you liking it with so much extra power and torque. I just pro tuned my car last week and it is freaking awesome. Love this platform. Awesome to hear you are enjoying my WRX videos, thanks for watching.💪
That's a lot of piping, Interested in hearing your driving feedback. Thanks for doing these videos, I've made mods to my 22 WRX based on your content. Keep up the great work!
No problem, glad to hear you like the WRX content on my channel. I will have a full driving impressions video coming soon now that the pro tune is complete.
Giveaway winner or not, just want to say that you are hands down the best VB youtuber because of how detailed you get on every install/review. (Can't wait to see the Skyline fully built as well! )
Thanks so much, glad to hear you like my level of detail. I just try to show in the video what I would want to see on the other end if I was watching the video. I take my time moving my camera around a lot to show different angles and pack as much info to help you guys visualize doing the job yourself. I spent about 20 hours editing this one trying to make it look good, have the right pace, still informative and interesting to watch. My GTR will be my focus starting in August. Finishing up my WRX stuff getting ready to have it in the Big Northwest car show in Portland on the 30th of this month. More to come, stay tuned!👍
I haven’t commented here before but I actually got the idea to move to Washington because of how pretty your drives looked. Currently in the process now. Wish you the best and I’d love to install a charge pipe on my vb :) best wishes -Aiden
Thanks for leaving a comment. It is a beautiful place around here. Having the mountains 30 minutes one way and the waterfront 30 minutes the other way is pretty cool. If you love nature and scenic drives, this place is pretty hard to beat. Thanks for watching my channel and I hope you win the drawing on the charge pipe.🔧
Appreciate it! I have enjoying working on the VB platform since it was launched. I am thankful the VB has given me so many opportunities with brand partnerships. No sure how much more I will do to the car since its my daily and the car is so much fun to drive with my current set up. Want to keep it reliable and make it last. I will have some more WRX content coming soon, stay tuned and thanks for watching.
@@JDMRightHandDrive i have a vb 2023 wrx i got recently in june of this year and watching your videos helps me understand my car internally more and it’s awesome. seeing all these brands work with you is fire and i’m really excited to see what’s to come ! keep it up !
That is always my goal with my content. I want you guys on the other end watching these videos to visualize everything up close in good detail to make your install super easy. Thanks for watching and have fun with your mods.👍
Love the videos, just found this channel and I appreciate how informative and straight forward all your videos are! I've had my VB for a few months now and looking to start some tasteful mods Thank you for all the information and inspiration!
Thank you so much, I appreciate your support and following my WRX videos on my channel. Glad to hear you think it looks good as well. See you on the next video.👀
I can't believe how much bigger the front mount is. I would love the charge pipe. My clutch is no more! At 7200 miles. Subaru said $2900 to replace it. They denied it for warranty. So I called South Bend Clutch. Should I go stage 1 or 2? With no warranty, I'll do Access Port, air cleaner, charge pipe & catback titanium exhaust.
To bad to hear your clutch died. After launching my car a few times could smell a smoking clutch, I knew to clutch was not happy and would not last long. Have not launched the car since and that is one of the reasons I didn't get a j-pipe because the extra torque would push beyond the oem clutch clamping force. I would ask your tuning shop what they recommend. Personally when it is time to replace mine, I will be going with a ATS twin disc carbon clutch. That is the same one in my R32 GTR and best clutch in my opinion. Thanks for watching and have fun with your VB mods.
@@JDMRightHandDrive Awesome! I look forward to the results. Really like your build. You're a bit ahead of me in terms of mods lol. I think next I'm doing the speakers. I need to go back and watch your video again on the install.
Thanks man, I am still loving this car. As much as I miss my original 02 WRX I bought brand new and fully build for car shows and track racing. The VB WRX is so much better than that car ever was. I am right there with you, I am excited to see where the build goes. Thanks for your support, more content to come.
Hey man! I love the content! I’m glad to see someone modding the VB platform. I’ve been watching for awhile now and very curious to see where this goes. Can’t wait to see what happens next brother! Take care of yourself and get well!
I am good and healthy now. This video was filmed 2 months ago. Was waiting for Perrin to be ready for me to post the video. Thanks for watching my channel. Got a few more mods to do this yeas still before I focus my attention back to my GTR.
@@JDMRightHandDrive I’m glad to hear that man! I work at Subaru and I haven’t seen anyone mess around with the VB and the FA24 platform so I’m constantly rewatching your stuff and seeing the progress. I recently just go a brand new 23 WRX and been obsessed with your channel. I’m also a Nissan guy as well. I own a 90 2+2 300zx manual less than 110k miles. Plan on getting the turbos in soon. I enjoy the content brother! Can’t wait for that next vid.
Awesome! Thank you and welcome aboard. 👍 Congrats on your new VB. I have had mine 2 years and completely loving this platform 29,000 miles later. Just installed the new Tomei Titanium exhaust. If your thinking of upgrading the exhaust, check it out. ruclips.net/video/9QC9EnE-Scw/видео.html
Hi Josh - You have the best shop assistant and the best BGM. Looking forward to the intake temp comparison. Would also be interesting if you have a way to see approximately how much the FMIC raises your coolant temps vs the top mount (if it does at all) for the same ambient air temp and same AC usage. Might have to be kind of a guess. I couldn't really do that with mine because I got _everything_ changed all at once. Yeah the nearest pump E85 I know of is at Gateway Gas & Deli in Snoqualmie. I go there about 4 times a year and that's about it. I'll shop at PCC afterwards and call it a day haha! I've been mixing it 2 parts E85 to 1 part 92 octane E10 for about E53 to E57 or thereabouts in the car. Then go back to straight 92 for the winter.
Thanks Gary, both my daughters are always coming out and helping out in the garage. It is so nice they both like car and enjoy helping me with projects as well as filming for me occasionally. Coolant temps did not change, they hold between 199 to 201 degrees. Running the A/C or not, water temps stay the same. The intake manifold temps under boost with the FMIC are much lower though by about 10 degrees or so. PIA just told me about the E85 station in Snoqualmie 2 days ago when I was getting my dyno tuning done. I was not aware that was there. Maybe later I will get some E85 and go for an E35 blend with a new J-pipe and get a retune done and see what the car makes. That will have to be next year though, I have spent all the money I cant on the WRX for the year and on with the GTR build now. Thanks for watching Gary and I want to go for a ride in your Eclipse!
Hell yeah man, I appreciate you saying that. It means a lot to get positive feedback on my videos. This one took me about 20 hours to video edit. Glad to hear every noticed what I put into this one. The FMIC has been on my car for 2 months now and is awesome. I had plenty of time to try and make the video the best I can. Thanks for watching, more content to come, stay tuned.
Thanks David, this car is coming together nicely and now that it is pro tuned. It an absolute blast to drive. The FA24 makes max torque at 3200 rpm. Pulls hard at the bottom end and reminds me of an HKS VCAM RB26 at the low end. Next time we cross paths, I will let you take it for a spin. You going to make it out to Bremerton Raceways this summer at all? I am going to try and meet up with Matt.
Even though you obviously know what you're doing and have all the proper tools, I get so nervous with these installs. I wish I was as mechanical skilled as you.
I am right there with you. I remember back in 2002 installing my Blitz FMIC on my 2002 WRX. I was quite nervous as well. Instructions were in Japanese and no RUclips in those days to get help. I have always had the mindset that if someone else can do it, that means I can do it as well. Righty tighty, lefty loosy. If you can do that, you can challenge yourself out of your comfort zone. I have faith in you, just take your time and you can easily do this install. Thanks for watching brother, see you on the next one. 👍
Have you considered installing an AOS or catch cans? Or have you already done it? Would love to see how you install Perrin's AOS. Your installation videos are always very informative!
Oil air separator will be coming soon. I will be looking for a company to sponsor me on this. Have not had any time to think or send anyone an email. I will most likely reach out to Jeff Perrin and try to work something out.
Thanks man, glad you like the WRX channel content. Lots more to come. I hope you with it as well, just got it hit 300 likes on this one first and I will ship it out to one of you Subscribers.
I Love the Vids man have been waiting for this install for a while isaw the unboxing you did a little bit ago still in debate if doing the ETS or the Perrin FMIC later down the road.
I like the ETS intake as well, very nice. Just make sure you pro tune immediately when you install it. It still runs lean even with the sleeve insert. Glad to hear you enjoy my WRX videos. I have had the intercooler on my car for a couple of months now. Just was waiting for Jeff Perrin to give me the green light to post the video. Perrin was not quite ready to release the product to the general public yet. The FMIC is due to come out anytime now. It was so awesome to have it 1st and makes this video for the VB community to help launch this FMIC to the market. More to come, thanks for watching.
Can’t wait to see how much horsepower you make with that front mount and intake. And would love to add the charge pipe to my build🥹 keep up the great content.
It did very well for power on the Mustang Dyno. It s a torque monster for sure. I will have the dyno video posted by Sunday, still in the editing phase.
You just got to pick up that camera and get after it. I get feeling to lazy to shoot video. Shooting a project like this takes 3 times longer to do the install while moving the camera around and shooting video at the same time. I also spend 20 hours editing this one as well, trying to make it as perfect as I can. But that what RUclips is behind the scenes its a lot of hard work and bunch of time sitting in front of a computer editing. Glad you like the install video, thanks for watching.
Thanks so much, makes me feel good hearing you say that. I really try my best to produce the highest quality content I am capable of. More to come, stay tuned.
Glad you enjoyed it. My Perrin FMIC is working perfectly and still looks brand new. Intercooler fins are super durable and not susceptible to small road debris damage.
Going to do the give away here pretty soon. Have not hit 300 likes yet. But this part is not doing anybody good just sitting on my garage shelf. Thanks for watcing.
Super informative video sir! Appreciate the step by step instructions for the same. This made me wonder if FMIC would block the air flow to the radiator reducing its efficiency? I don't intend on tracking the car anyway so i feel it might be excessive for me. I just stick to spirited street driving and road trips. I might just get a TMIC in that case. Do you see any turbo lags due to the increased piping conpared to TMIC?
Glad to hear you enjoy to amount of detail I put into making my videos. I do not notice any noticeable lag from the FMIC on the VB WRX. The new Garrett turbo with the twin scroll manifold and electronic wastegate is just that efficient on the new FA24. Looking at the coolant temps on the Cobb AP, it shows the coolant temps are the same as before right around 199-201. However the intake manifold temps are much lower under boost compared to the stock TMIC. Intake manifold temps are just as cool as ambient air temperature. Have fun with your VB mods. Thanks for watching. Lots more content on the way.👍

You bet Kyle, glad to hear that you enjoy the content and find the videos to be helpful. Thanks for watching and have fun with your VB mods!🔧
Nice to finally see some quality build video content for the VB. Keep up the good work
Glad to hear that. Thanks for watching my channel and for your support. 👍
Looking good! Been following since I got my VB last year.
Thank you so much, I appreciate your support and following my WRX videos on my channel. Glad to hear you think it looks good as well. See you on the next video.👀
Thanks for the install video! I hear that if you spray paint Perrin on the intercooler, you get an extra 5 HP.....
I had no idea. Thanks for the tip, I am going to grab my spray paint right now! LOL Thanks for watching. 👍
That charge pipe would be awesome. Great Video!
Thanks for watching, I still have it and need to give it away.
@@JDMRightHandDrive Awesome! I look forward to the results. Really like your build. You're a bit ahead of me in terms of mods lol. I think next I'm doing the speakers. I need to go back and watch your video again on the install.
Loving the progress on the VB. Got mine a couple weeks after you got yours last year. Can’t wait to see what you got in store!
Thanks man, I am still loving this car. As much as I miss my original 02 WRX I bought brand new and fully build for car shows and track racing. The VB WRX is so much better than that car ever was. I am right there with you, I am excited to see where the build goes. Thanks for your support, more content to come.
Love your videos, didn’t realize I wasn’t a subscriber. Changed that.
Thanks for subbing, and for the channel support.
Finally! So excited to see this. Love these videos! Thank you.
You are more welcome Roamin. So happy you enjoy the WRX vids. More to come and thanks for watching my channel.👍
This vid wants me to get a WRX now! Great work brother!
You should get yourself one, this car is awesome and I am loving mine. Thanks for watching.
Great work on your WRB 22 WRX. I have the same one! Sport tech model.
I’ve done similar upgrades. Went with silver rims, v1 roof and v1 duck bill etc.
Thanks man, glad to hear you like the vids. Awesome you got some aero on your car. I need to work on my car exterior mods next.
Subbed, Liked, and commented!
Nice install. I've got a WRX on order, arriving in August, so I've got my eye on this sort of content!

Goals for VB great work brotha.
Heck yeah man, get after some bolt on goals. Thanks for tuning in. See you on the next one.🏎
Cant wait to see now much power you make🤝
Pro tune video is out now, it made some crazy torque on the Mustang Dyno. Thanks for watching.
Love your videos. Keep up the good work fellow Washingtonian.
Thanks Warren glad you enjoying the WRX content. Yes a fellow Washingtonian and Pacific Northwest Subaru enthusiast.
That charge pipe would look great on my 2023 wrx 👌🏻
Thanks for the comment, I will do the giveaway here pretty soon. Need to get that charge pipe off my garage shelf and free up some space.
First video of your channel and it’s a great video
Welcome aboard! Glad to hear you enjoyed the video. Lots more videos on the way. Thanks for watching.👍
Been following the build, and love the content man!
Heck yeah, glad you love the content and thanks for following my WRX build. More to come, stay tune. 🔧
Not sure why I didn't subscribe earlier, but thanks for the nudge! Great content. Keep it up.
Thanks for the new sub! Glad you liked the video. More to come, stay tuned!
Looking great bro! Keep it up 358 whp coming up
Thanks Ian. I am pretty happy with 323 WHP and 374 TQ on a Mustang dyno running 92 octane.💪
Subscribed, liked, and commented baby!!!! Woooooo. Keep up the content. Love it all!
Thanks for the new Sub, we are almost to 12k on my channel now. Lots more content on the way, thanks for watching.
Always enjoy your videos! Very entertaining and detailed. Keep at it!!!
Nice video, the car is coming together nicely.
👍Glad to hear you think so. Thanks for your support.
Looking good as always brother! I love the front mount look and still keeping the hood scoop! Looks way more aggressive
Great install video 👍
Thanks Devin, glad to hear you enjoy the WRX content. More to come, stay tuned!
Sick FMIC!!
Thank you so much. I think it's pretty awesome as well. Fitment is spot on. Thanks for your support.👍
Love your videos man! Keep up the good work💯
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching, lots more to come.
Sweet stuff! Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching and leaving a comment! 👍
I think 350ish is a nice safe spot where we won't have to see you do an STI trans install!
Great video, if it’s me…I’ll cover shipping! Keep posting great mods!
Great video as always!
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for your support Josh. Us Josh's have to stick together.
Looking great!
Thanks, it does make the car look so much more aggressive from the front.
Car looks much better with a FMIC!
I think so too, it looks so much more aggressive.
I would love the charge pipe!! Im in Canada i would pay for shipping myself! Love the content!
You got yourself a deal. If your name is drawn, you cover international shipping. Thanks for watching.
I’ve been waiting for an install of this intercooler. I need to make videos but I’ve been lazy
Great VB content.
Thanks so much, makes me feel good hearing you say that. I really try my best to produce the highest quality content I am capable of. More to come, stay tuned.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it. My Perrin FMIC is working perfectly and still looks brand new. Intercooler fins are super durable and not susceptible to small road debris damage.
Nice looks amazing
Thanks I am loving the front mount. I have had it on my car for about 3 months now and its perfect. Car feels fast with the new pro tune.
shoot ive been looking for the charge pipe forever
Lots more content on the way.👍
I live in Seattle. So if I pick it up then you can save even more money lol.
Great walkthrough vid, thank you. Still giving away the charge pipe?
Yes still giving it away. DM me on Instagram and it’s yours!
Nice Job
Thank you Juan! Cheers!👍
