2.2 S10 Oil Change

Now that the necessary disclaimer is done, here is how I change the oil on my 2001 2.2 (4 cyl) S10. With a 15mm wrench, 5 quarts of 5w-30 oil and a good filter (plus some rags), you can have this done in 30 to 45 mins. I did not use stands in this video, but whatever you decide, be safe.

What’s ur oil pressure at idle? I’m using supertech high mileage full syn and a fram tg and I get about 60cold and above 20 at idle

Mine never goes under the first thick white line, and will idle from 20ish to 40 depending on how long it’s been on. It’s also up around 60 when cold, sometimes more. I would check the forums to be safe however mine has been running great.

I do have a question. Never hurts to ask. After changing a fuel filter and a new fuel pump. It ran fine for a few days then back to sputtering and occasionally it dies. Any idea what it could be. 🤷‍♂️

it can be multiple problems what do you mean by occasionally dies is the engine turning off or is your battery dying?

Turn off car, listen to see if the fan keeps running. If it does, IP conflict. 😂
