Now that's out of the way, here is how I replaced my 2008 Suzuki GSXR-600's radiator after the OEM one failed. It was fairly simple and can be accomplished in a few hours with basic tools and a good attitude.
NOTE: The OEM radiators for these bikes are $700-1000 online. I went the eBay route for less than $100 and it worked perfect. Here is the link of the one I used in the video (although do your research to be safe-also, I will not receive any money if yo...

Hey all! It's Joey BOOSTED again, and here is what I currently have for my Project Miat turbo build! You do NOT have to remove the exhaust to get the starter out, nor is it too difficult (assuming no rusted bolts). ...
I do have a question. Never hurts to ask. After changing a fuel filter and a new fuel pump. It ran fine for a few days then back to sputtering and occasionally it dies. Any idea what it could be. 🤷♂️
it can be multiple problems what do you mean by occasionally dies is the engine turning off or is your battery dying?
Thanks for this. 😃
Why u don’t show the second screw 😂 because is difficult any mechanic show the second screw 😂
BEST VIDEO!!! I watched a half a dozen other videos for replacing this starter. This video is absolutely the best one I've seen. Thank you so much for the clarity!
Glad it helped! ❤
I know the pain my man just went through.... Thats that thousand yard stare
LMAOOOOOO
HAHAHHAHAA
This helps alot, thanks
Camshaft position sensor and magnet. Plug wires. Check those too. Had the same code and replaced the magnet and sensor and all was good. Also check your plugs. Gap changes depending on boost and pressure. You do have to gap iridium regardless of what they say. Try lessening the gap ever so slightly. Learned that one the hard way. Hope you get it running well soon!
Thanks! I’ll take a look into that today. The plug wires and spark plugs are new, and I even pulled them again to confirm they are at .040 or a tiny bit over. That sensor may be the case. Will update when found, thanks!
Clogged fuel injector or fuel pressure regulator
water in footwell where ecu is
Clean your throttle body
Check Gas cap & O2 sensors
Buddy, these people are going to tell you everything all day. Long check your MAF. And your O2.
Good ideas, MAF will be checked for sure. And yes, tons of responses, I’ve done some of the fixes already so I’ll update. Thanks!
Could be an overheat on the computer due to either airflow restrictions or an exhaust leak near the coil pack
Maybe cam or crank sensor.
New parts don’t always mean good parts. I’ve returned a lot of new parts that were no good right out of the box. But start with the basics; check fuel pressure, check spark, check compression, check spark plug gap, check plug boots for spark leak, check for oil in the spark plug tubes, bore scope in the cylinders after it misfires to check the condition of the cylinder while hot… All of those checks on that car should be about 30 minutes to an hour.
Thanks for the reply. It’s got good spark/ correctly gapped plugs to .040 and new wires. No oil in tubes. Compression is overall in range (I have numbers in comments). Fuel pressure is the one I’ll investigate, as well as borescope. Thanks!
@@joeyBOOSTED crank sensor controls spark and if it’s an old one it might just be wise money spent in the long run even if it doesn’t fix this issue. I had a weird problem like that on my Jeep years ago and it ended up being a loose ground on the engine. Don’t get too crazy with what you do. Those cars are pretty simple. Just start with the basics.
Crap in the fuel tank
Injectors
Original injectors? Or did you use the jdm injectors
JDM injectors. The engine came with intake and fuel rail already on. I’m gonna pull the injectors and see what the filters look like.
@@joeyBOOSTED Swap back to your original injectors. I got a jdm k24z and the fuel rail was completely different than usdm
@@firstlast--- I’ll give it a try and report back. I appreciate the help!
@@joeyBOOSTED np man let me know what happens
@@joeyBOOSTED could be having an issue with the crank or cam sensor. I’d still start with the injectors cause who knows how long they were open to the elements before you bought it. The slightest bit of moisture and air can cause them to stick.
MAF
I’ll take a look and clean it. Thanks!
Also: compression is 180-160-155-170. Slightly low in cyl 3 but not enough to be causing issue from what I’ve seen. What do you guys think?
Boy anything on this truck is a F'in Project. but when i work on newer shit i feel like a pro lol. good truck to learn on for sure.
I thought the newer vehicles would be harder, but then again the newest thing I have is 2008!Definitely good to learn on and although not fun, it’s rewarding once finished. Thanks for the view!
Or just invest in the tool and do it the right way
I had the seal puller from harbor freight but still prefer this method. That’s just me though! Seal pullers can work well.
Does this hurt the rear main seal?
Yes, this seal is toast after this! I was replacing this one while the engine was out for good measure.
Good stuff bro!
Appreciate it!
That's good trick alot of motors
TIP: Try using 1/4 drive tools when doing this job. 3/8 is much too bulky. 1/4 is a game changer in tight spaces👍🏻
Idk how I am going to do there's no room for me to work
Is easier if you drop the starter first then while hanging remove the power cable
Thanks I figured that but was wondering
Who tf slides under the car like that🤣
😂😂
Right 😂😂😂😂, never seen that before
he's comfortable and trusting of those jack stands for sure. I'm guessing he does it that way because he's righthanded to get more power on the wrench.
@@BigAlWillisExactly, the other way would be difficult for the torque needed for some bolts. For other jobs, I slide the standard way. And yes, I do trust those jack stands, but only with the jack as backup.
@@joeyBOOSTED they have a new style jackstand that locks onto your hydraulic Jack & its quick locking. Once your Jack is up you place it in the front of the Jack it locks from the wheels to the plate. Its pretty neat. Lookup Jack rod
Music is obnoxious and unnecessary. Great video. Can you put a link to the new starter and offset wrenches?
I have the same truck. It is difficult to work on. Access is a challenge.
Mine keeps cranking even if my keys off as well now I know I'm not crazy replacing it
Yup, mine did it so much I thought it was ignition related at first. Still good now months later!
Get it papa
What’s ur oil pressure at idle? I’m using supertech high mileage full syn and a fram tg and I get about 60cold and above 20 at idle
Mine never goes under the first thick white line, and will idle from 20ish to 40 depending on how long it’s been on. It’s also up around 60 when cold, sometimes more. I would check the forums to be safe however mine has been running great.
Did you have 231 hp or 192 ? 231 hp have 6 Injector : 4 are yellows ( secondary ) and 2 reds ( primary ).
Just saw this. I have a Miata so these were pulled from some random 07 RX8 in the junkyard. I remember it was 6 total injectors on the donor car, 4 which are the ones in the video. I left the other 2.
When you want to add new coolant you need to clean the old one first right?
Hi... my problem is that it MIGHT start but as soon I pull the parking brake lever, engine dies. After that... all day, it won't start at all anymore. The dash lights light up, interior light lights up, had battery tested, it's good but engine won't crank at all. Nothing.
Did you find the problem?
@@jayhemoon1904 Hi, No not yet. I think it's the fuel pump but haven't replaced that yet.
How do I fix an IP conflict on my car?
Turn off car, listen to see if the fan keeps running. If it does, IP conflict. 😂
very helpful, just stole an s10 and after 2 weeks the starter stopped working... this was very insightful, thank you
Stole?
Ayo?
@@valerieshick9240 yea its rough out here
Yes, things are very rough out here but we don't steel. How do you think the person feels that worked very hard to buy it?! Then someone like you came around and stole it. You're going to have bad Karma and Karma is going to TAX you!! Steeling isn't cool and is childish... besides ILLEGAL!
No I didn't replace the starter. I figured it couldn't be the starter if it starts but dies when I release the handbrake. I even bought one and returned it already. I just had my S10 towed to a shop to have a diagnostic. Unfortunately going to spend a lot of money on something that's probably cheap and easy to fix. I'll let you all know what they find.
let’s get this startedddd HAWTTTT
You know it!
