Thank you, Librarian Jack, for your reading of "The Fog Horn." First, I re-read it online from a post from a middle school and then I found your excellent interpretation. I taught this story decades ago from a 7th or 8th grade literature book. Subbing in a 4th grade ELA class yesterday, 3/1/24, I introduced an article called, "Monster Myths." Of course, the Loch Ness Monster, referred to as Nessie, was discussed and my brain went right back to this chilling tale by the brilliant Ray Bradbury. Thank you, again, for this reading of a classic. I got chills ....
Marvelous chilling tale by the master and most effectively read, bringing it all alive to the mind's eye (just needed the Horn voice in the background)
I am listening to this as I work, and I just looked up to see a man walking, @5:40, only to disappear like a ghost just as the narrator says, "One day, many years ago, a man walked along and stood in the sound of the ocean, on a cold, sunless shore..." OOOoooOOOO! ;P
