These stories are fantabulous !!! Lovely art work.
Thank you for the compliment! I'm glad you are enjoying my uploads - The Bradbury stories are my personal favorites - Charlie
Love the shows thanks
i guess im asking randomly but does anyone know a method to log back into an Instagram account..?
I was stupid lost the password. I would love any tricks you can offer me!
@Ares Crosby Instablaster ;)
@@braylenjohnny1974 I'm glad YOU said something! I don't use Instagram.
This the coolest thing I’ve found on RUclips in a WHILE. Thanks so much for all your effort uploading these!
Very great episode, but I'm going with X-Minus One being the best :) Thanks for preserving the commercials!
Excellent sound quality, great cover-art!
I enjoyed listening to these Ray Bradbury stories. Excellent upload with no noise distortion in the background. Great sound effect.
Thanks so much for your comments, and I'm glad you're enjoying these - I always upload the best sound quality available! Bradbury is one of my favorite authors. All of Bradbury's Suspense and Escape episodes are in one playlist, if you like.
@@SuspenseESCAPEremastered Oh yeah! I saw the playlist so I don't need to worry to find other Bradbury's stories in different area. I just let it go down the list :)
@@glenncool Great! Thank you
Thanks for such high quality uploads! I’m really loving your channel! Thanks!
Brilliant!
Most excellent
No wonder this man's stories ended up in the Twilight Zone, this does sound like an episode. It takes a silly idea, (Mars being heaven) and twists it into something incredible. Thank you
Mars...the sunshine state.
I like it!
The X-1 version was much better as to storyline and production. Who could be a better Captain than that #1 radio performer, Wendell Holmes. Outstanding cast and script! Seek out this version.
Since Venus is Hell, then Mars is Heaven.
Council Bluffs?! I love a mere hour or less from there.
I wonder if there's a twin on Mars?
❤ u LOVE A MILE from der?!??
The broadcast I remember, as a kid, is where the captain is the only one to make it back to the ship. He is trying to contact Earth as the Martians are about to break into the ship...early 70’s maybe?
I was born just a few years too late when these great shows first aired, but it's never too late to start enjoying them! I myself just discovered classic radio dramas only 15 years ago. I decided to create a channel and offer quality over quantity. Thanks for commenting, sorry for my late response (Not been getting notifications)
"...where the captain is the only one to make it back to the ship. He is trying to contact Earth as the Martians are about to break into the ship..."
Sounds like you're describing the X Minus One NBC radio drama version of this story. That show was from May of 1955. I still think that version is pretty cool. If you saw The Martian Chronicles TV mini series of 1979, the first episode featured this story.
+Observer Link Yes. I saw The Chronicles when it originally aired. (Like most Bradbury stories, the original books are better. I've read everything Bradbury wrote) You'll find similarities from Suspense and Escape to X Minus one. Several stories were nearly duplicated. Thanks for listening to my uploads and thanks for your comments. One more thing I've noticed . . . Many listeners of my programs are readers - Charlie

+Kenneth Wagner aka Kūkini Runner I think Ray Bradbury did this story on his "Bradbury 13" radio series in 1984. I do know that this story was produced on his TV series, "The Ray Bradbury Theater."
Fun!
I don’t think it would be that big of a deal if it were to happen today.
In the description it says: Click on this - it will fry your device to a crisp?! I'm not gonna try it!
It's actually the app I use to upload my Programs - I made fun of it in all of my descriptions, until RUclips eventually quit posting the link on my uploads!
Ironic that a story extolling clean air is interrupted with an advert for leaded petrol.
the commercials sound much older than the '90s
That's because this upload is from 1950!
Not as good as the X-Minus One version but interesting. I chuckled hearing the “bang” of Martian guns. Sounds like Earth guns.
This was done on a shoestring budget, a couple of years before X minus one. I like both versions!
They could in this way ..,
The nightmare of mass hypnosis and vaporization isn't just the stuff of sci fi anymore,,,
Is it possible to get the text to go with the audio?
Closed captioning
This story was later part of the Martian Chronicles.
Is that the series with Martin Landau?
@@simonmcgrath4112 he wasnt in it. Just look up The Martian Chronicles tv series. It starred Rock Hudson.
the first crew ?

"Nice place you created here. With that piano music playing in the background that probably is a piano."
....who wrote this????
