🤯 knit on the front and purl on the back and then vice versa.. wow! I so did not know that. I was matching stitches (k&k and p&p) the first time. Thank you for explaining this!!

Hmm Think I would use a provisional cast on knit one round then work the rib. It would be a cleaner pick up for me when I joined them.

My pattern calls for folding the neckband so the purls are facing outwards, its stockinette in the round Any tips please i am stuck!

That's not one of my patterns so it's difficult for me to say for sure what the designer's intention was. Sorry! Maybe get in touch with the designer?
