  • An action filled day in a new location with Adam, Jake, and the devil dog (Cash). This day confirmed we have some major shooting practice to do and some steadiness training required, but somehow, we still managed to connect with the birds. As well as a little reminder to know where your hunting buddy is...

19:30 need that semi-auto! I hunt with a O/U 90% of the season but when the Chukar trips start I need all the capacity I can get!

He's learning. He's actually living up to his nickname as I'm tying this.

Wow great video! I’m a Reno resident, but very seriously considering getting a CA license this season after seeing the number of birds and the terrain in this video. The shooting is cracking me up though 😂 who knows if I could do any better, although I think I would 😂. Awesome channel guys!

Glad you liked it. This trip was awesome. It was the most birds I have seen in years it was an epic day. We laugh at ourselves all trip long. We should have limited out about 45 minutes in but we couldn't hit the broad side of the barn. We had a mixed season but it was a good year. I think next year will be good also. so get a CA license if you feel like it. But I have a hard time recommending it to anyone. Cost -vs- quality.

@@DeskJockeyOutdoors I hear you, it’s even more of a cost for non-residents, but I keep thinking about how there is a lot more opportunities for other upland birds like Turkey, mountain quail, and sooty grouse too. I still don’t know where to begin with identifying public land yet though, and I don’t think I will be purchasing On X because of the amount of data it collects across platforms. Looking forward to the videos you guys put out next season!

@@joshuamyers34we hunted chukar in CA and OR this year I have a NV license due to putting in for big game, but it wasn't in the cards to head your way this year. We already have plans to hunt more next year so we will throw out our less than awesome footage 😂 we run OnX because we hunt all over and it's really nice to have. If you want to jump all over then I recommend it. But that extreme Northeast corner of CA it isn't necessary. One thing to keep in mind here is you have to use LEAD FREE shot and you have to put the plug in your gun to make it a 3 shooter. Unless you are like Adam and shoot 2 at a time 😂.
