I thought you were just going to say that you did it without showing what you did. I "never" give thumbs down, but was armed and ready. Glad you showed the video and explained! Great job!
Thank you, you me help me alot. But I didn't have to remove the bumper. I did have the tire off though. Didn't realize how easy it is to replace it. I have a 2009 Honda accord.
KOAMastermind - I do not believe that it is required per say, but I am not an expert, if I had to assume I would say it’s purpose was to protect the air intake into the pump so that debris couldn’t fly into the air intake and block it. I’m sure it would work without it for a while.
Ummm...there's NO need to take the bumper. I just replaced mine in less than 10 minutes. Jack up car in front. There's an access to get to it.its very pliable rubber..more than enough to get your hand in there. No need to take ANY fasteners off. I just did it. Easy!
@@lisasisk3713 I promise it took me like 10 mins max. Underneath is a very pliable rubber access shield...do not waste your time or energy taking that bumper off...save yourself some headache
2011 Accord took 10 to 15 minutes with only a screw driver. Underneath the bumper on the passenger side is the pliable rubber, it is kind of a square area. I didn't even jack up the car. Just lie on the ground and remove 2 clips and push up or pull down. Use a flashlight. There is enough room and it's not too difficult to unclip the electric, hose and replace the pump. Thanks Vince for posting and saving me time. Great video if you want to take off the bumper but it's not necessary.
Wow, thank you for your quick reply! Definitely gonna check the fuse now BEFORE taking to car repair shop. (I don't want to be the one that takes that bumper cover off!)

Greeting, I have 2010 Honda accord. your saying all you needed to do is remove the front tire to get to the pump ?
@@jdacosta1967 yes and detach some of the plastic protectors.
@@jdacosta1967 it only took me 15-20 minutes max to do it.

No need to take any tires off either. 2009 Accord EXL.
What year is your accord? He said if it was a 2011 or older you had to remove the bumper for access?

How do you know it is not a fuse?
Check your fuses first, easy way to rule that out. All you need is some needle nose pliers

That is pretty ridiculous that only plastic inserts are whats keeping the bumper on
