just hit a month with my 22 wrx and i love it such a fun daily
I'd love one, but the truck-like fuel economy has me spooked.
@@steve8803 i think i’m getting around 23 mpg right now and thats with a good amount of hard driving. i fill up about 2 times a week driving 80 miles to and from work 5-6 days a week.
@@randomguy27838 Yeah. I think the Civic Si is going to be my choice, for an economical but fun daily.
@@steve8803 I have one. It’s in the 30’s if you don’t hit 10+ lbs of Boost multiple times a day. Yes tough to do but it’s not as bad as you think.
@@Blue_Ghost-X That's taking the fun out of it. I can beat on the Si all day and still get 30+..
Awesome job with the video and other videos. I'm stoked for my 22 WRX to arrive in town. 🔥
Appreciate it! hope you get ot enjoy it soon ;)
Love it. Sounds great stock! I just got mine
the push button start intro had me dying lol
Sometimes I wish I could hear 22 WRX from inside a little more lol
Yeah same when they come out with performance mufflers ima do a muffler delete
Just remove all the carpet and dry ice the sound deadening 😆
Awesome video. I like that even the OEM exhaust crackles and pops. I dont think my 2020 wrx did that with OEM exhaust.
The VA series crackled and popped for me, not nearly as pronounced as this but I'd backfire in heavy accelerations into every gear except for 5-6
Damn that shit actually sounds crazy mic’d up!
U cracked me with that *pop* :D
guys its not that bad lol yall said the same thing when the last gen came out... its not an "impreza" anymore.
Dunno if it's just the video or me, but the exhaust sounds kinda tinny? What are your thoughts on that?
cool vid. gonna get a wrx this summer. excited
IT POPS !
How to make it pop ? mine never pops and crackles
Stock sounds pretty loud.
Seems to be nothing but Subaru content on this channel. I want to order the burnt tip Blitz Nur Spec exhaust from this company for my FK8 Type R, but I see a LOT of bad reviews. People getting wrong items, people getting charged double, or even 10 times for a single item, no one at RSD helping the situation out, not getting refunds for qrong items shipped. The list goes on with multiple problems. It makes me not want to order 😕 Plus this specific exhaust I want is not in stock, so I wonder if I'd wait extremely long like some of the people giving bad reviews.
Anyone found any method for reducing the intense droning this exhaust causes between 1300 and 2200 rpm putting around?
I have to do alot of highway driving but live in the country with twisty roads. My best friend used to have an STI and it was wicked but positively impossible to live with. Is the 22' WRX more tame?
is that the real stock one or with the $1200 upgrade subaru offers?
"real stock" as you called it ;)
@@rallysportdirect I’m sorry lmao I’m just getting into cars and trying to learn!
Nice review...but...where did you get the rear lower brake light?!?! I want one! :)
Check out our last video! Has everything you need to know ;)
All we need now is the STUTUTUTUTUTU
I know this is really late, but I've been trying to get my wrx to pop and I've had no luck. Please help me out with the trick to doing it
The key is. it has to be during hard pulls and most important shift timing and shift speed. You probably have already make pop and crackle its just hard to hear from the cabin. If you clear your trunks wheel cover/spare tire cover you and fold the seats you will be able to hear the exhaust better.
I checked out two Limited trim Subaru WRX; it is very nice to see in person.
But I don't see the brake light under the rear bumper; why?
The light is aftermarket :)
Is this stock exhaust?!
Stock
Can you do an Elantra N please?!
If I could get my hands on one I’d love to rip it around a twisty road 😅
Dope
This is a stock exhaust ?
My car doesn’t pop like that or gurgles
Can't hear it from the inside, only apparent when you slap a microphone on the rear bumper
@@blazingffa7314 Open your windows a hair, wide open throttle to the top of each gear in 2nd gear to 3rd then 3rd to 4th will get you to hear those pops and gurgles, mine does it happily, even with windows closed and music off I can hear it.
Sounds weak just like the model before, miss the old wrx gurgle
Lowkey looks like a civic from the back
good comparison video, but I don't like it!
😢
I just got back from getting my 21 sti serviced, the guy at the dealer tried to sell me a 22 Wrx, that’s car was ugly. I didn’t car for the body lines or the choice of materials. The interior came off as a cheap Mazda imitation. The seats looked cheap as hell a couple of 600 dollar eBay seats would be a huge upgrade. On top of that they were asking 37k for a premium.
Got my new ‘22 cheaper than a used ‘21 with 30k miles. Car is a beast you should ask to test drive it to compare. Feels very close to the VA STI in my opinion. Put a decent amount of miles on a ‘17 STI and I know that was the last year before the suspension got tweaked and 2019+ have type ra short block but nevertheless it is the best driving WRX to date.
StopItSano it may be the best Wrx driving experience wise, but it needs like 8k worth of work to look how it should of from the dealer. My 21 sti limited brand new cost me 3-4K more than a 22 Wrx limited.
@@lucian7182 to each their own, I was looking for a STI but am happy with the purchase
Your in denial lol. 22 is so much better.
ProCrunchie that hilarious, an Wrx being better than an sti stock for stock.
It doesn't sound good, but it can't sound any worse than the VA. An aftermarket exhaust will make it sound like trash.
Borla s-type on the VA FA20 sounds pretty damn good!
@@SuzukiKid400 I disagree. The VA sounded like raspy rice. The difference between the FA motor and the beloved EJ motor sound is quite substantial. As a matter of fact, Jalopnik did an article several years ago placing the VA WRX in the top ten worst sounding cars.
Just wait for unequal length headers then. Every subie ever has the aftermarket support eventually.
LOL
Sounds like shit just like all fa wrx’s lol
Strongly underwhelming. This gen's sound isn't its strong point. Appreciate the video.
RIP Subaru wrx
Subaru 22wrx is garbage. We need something better.
And why is that LOL
I think it's baller.. the grey color looks amazing.
