"The Yard of Colors" continues its musical journey, with a special ‘Tribute to Takis Soukas’
The hospitable hosts, the journalist Athena Kampakoglou and the great composer, bouzouki master Christos Nikolopoulos, have dedicated today's show to Takis Soukas, whom they welcome with joy and emotion, in the studio of the show.
A living legend of Greek folk music that the sound of the accordion and its santouri, continues and 'writes' history in the recordings from 1960 onwards.
In our 'journey' tonight, in the important moments of the great melodist and soloist who, with his art and technique, 'marked' for more than half a century, companions, remarkable classical folk singers. Nikos Makropoulos, Lena Alkaiou and Vassilis Dimas, Perform songs ‘diamonds’, always, to the sounds of the accordion of Takis Soukas and the accompaniment of our orchestra. Songs first performed by: Stelios Kazantzidis, Stratos Dionysiou, Eleni Vitali, Haris Alexiou, Dimitra Galani, Katerina Stanisi, Dimitris Kontolazos, Costas Kollias, George Sarris.
In our company, the actor Michalis Iatropoulos, who, while working, 'lived' a lot in the night and as a fan of genuine folk song, appreciates and thanks the top composer for the unique melodies of the songs, which spoke to his 'soul' and expressed moments of his life!
Loukia Papadaki is also at our table! The protagonist of the play "Fonias" by M. Efthymiadis at the "Victoria" Theater spoke to us about the Shine of the Golden Age of the big track, with the brands and the good folk song.
Our artistic curator, Costas Balachoutis, briefly presents, through his archive, in the special insert of the show, the path of the great composer but also moments from the collaboration with him.
A rich folk program, based on the creations of Takis Soukas as well as his meetings with many ‘greats’, including our host, Christos Nikolopoulos.
We invite you, therefore, to ET2, with Athena Kampakoglou and Christos Nikolopoulos, to forget the daily problems and to have fun with nostalgic… songs.
