Especially when you earn the real blaster imagine almost being eaten and being saved by that guy because the zombie EXPLODES and he just leaves you blasting more zombies and going WHEEEE

I love that moment, because you can totally hear everything going on in Dan's head.
He laughs right away, because even out of context it's still funny, but then he starts laughing harder like "wait, I know that, where'S that from" and then he really loses it when he makes the connection.
Lost count how many times I've watched this series over the years, time to watch it again.

This will always be my favorite GG playthrough. Ive listened to the whole series dozens of times. This was the perfect game for the grumps to play, for multiple reasons. The DR2 playthrough is pretty awesome too.
DR2 is one of my all time faves, definitely top three with Bloodborne and Devil's Third.
Arin's "ｂｅａｕｔｉｆｕｌ :) " at 10:32 never fails to slay me

This was hands down one of my fav play through to watch from you guys. I wish u finished 3 and 4 even tho they weren't as good as 1 and 2
I would love. Love. For them to play all the way through 3 and 4. Because they're not very good games, and these two always drift into the very best bits and discussion when the game isn't demanding their attention and comprehension.

4 was surprisingly really good. Like 3 had a lot of shortcomings, but 4 kind of fixed a lot of the previous game’s issues and brought back a lot of what people liked about the first 2 games.
Every time they upload a comp now, I pray that they are reacting to them. I would have loved to listen to them react to the "Sorry, wrong number" bit.
If they see the lovelies want it, maybe they'll do a reaction too!

Arin picking up that running lawnmower was more of a grass-backwards move than him calling that woman who asked about his camera a butt model.
Makes more sense in context.
Number one issue with in-game dialog is the voice actors can't improvise their lines.

Came here to relax after a particularly hard work week and you have me pausing the video to look at the joint in my Cheeto dust encrusted hands and then my reflection with crumbs on my stomach. I feel personally attack. XD
I think the reason this series has so much staying power is that DR1 is the platonic ideal of a game to play while goofing off with someone else.
It's consistently entertaining, but slow-paced enough you have lulls to talk about other things in. The plot is gloriously over-the-top and ridiculous, and simple enough it's easy to remember what's going on between your various shenanigans. It''s challenging enough that some parts take several tries, but not so many tries you get too frustrated. Itt has a perfect pacing of silly things happening, such that each new absurdity happens at the best moment to pick up the lull in a casual conversation, giving you a new jumping-off point that doesn't interrupt the overall flow. And it's enticing enough to end up playing it until you should have slept hours ago, and are losing your minds at any damn fool thing.
This is the Game Grumpsiest game there is.
(With all the good bits here, somehow my favorite is Dan's impression of someone else's impression of A Clockwork Orange. "MY WIFE.... IS *DEEEEEAD.")*

I love the idea of Bread Rising. However, I feel like there might already be a game out there about zombie bread. Or possibly something I saw in my nightmares.

The amount of times they sing sledgehammer and say “MELON!!” throughout this game Is priceless 😆This entire playthrough is a true gem 💎

The "Sophies Choice" bit was my favorite part of this entire Playthrough.
Even though I watch this entire playthrough every year for my own personal Ghoul Grumps month, it’s still a joy watching the best of 😂 this playthrough was so good

so I was thinking "surely there was originally another animal before the turtle" which would make it the familiar 1 2 3 rhythm, even tying in with the Owl counting to three before biting
