It absolutely amazes me that people voluntarily go to Disney World when it's so busy like this. I feel like it would be terrible hauling around kids/family members through the crowds and standing in super long lines. I'm completely baffled that there are some families who make this a tradition of going at this time of year. Makes me feel better about going when it's not as crazy as this.

My crazy father once dragged me there during the last week of July, which is one of the WORST times go to. It was too crowded, too hot and I didn't have much fun. Every ride had at least a one hour wait. And this was almost 15 years ago. I shudder at how bad it was before the stupid virus hit.

Thanks to watching all your videos, I had our dinner at Be Our Guest booked and all our fast passes booked WAY ahead of time. Our day worked like clockwork...and we did do mobile order for Columbia Harbor House that afternoon for lunch. We literally did SO much! And when it got a bit later, we walked on to Pirates and Jingle Cruise and a bunch of other things after our dinner at B.O.G. I was so impressed with how well our day went, thanks to all the advice from allears.net. Thank you!

We were just there in November over Veteran’s weekend and it was at least this crowded, it was crazy. Cast members were even saying it was way busier than usual for that time of year. It was crowded to the point of hardly being fun. We’re going back first of May for a do-over, hoping for MUCH smaller crowds, only doing the parks on weekdays, not weekend.

I went the last week of January through first week of February last year and it was so crowded. Cast members said it hadn't slowed down since Christmas. I don't know if there is a slow season any more!

    • @leighnewman6160
      @leighnewman6160 4 года назад +3

Melanie Shipley there really isn’t a “slow” season anymore. There are crowd calendars online that can give you an idea of how busy it will be. We went on our honeymoon in 1993 and back again in 1996, literally no crowds. That was before fast passes but you didn’t need them, the longest wait for anything was 15 minutes. Those days are LONG gone.

We were there last Christmas. It was packed but we were able to cover what we wanted except for the Rise of Resistance at Disney Hollywood. The special ticketed event - Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party was amazing, not a lot of people compared to regular park hours. So we were able to do a lot during that event.

Our family went for the 1st time the BETWEEN week in 2019. While still being far too crowded to our likings, it is doable. My recommendation is rope drop and stay till the parks close with a nice long nap in between. We went on Rise 3x so it was nice getting done the major HS thrill rides during that earlier period. I suggest you get your Rise BG, ride Slinky/TSM or RnRC/ToT, and then hop over to AK & rope drop FoP, then do Safari & Everest before returning back to HS for your Rise BG timeslot. This works unless you get a BG below 35ish. We did this strategy twice and thankfully our BGs were 41 and 71, so it worked out perfectly.
Also if EMH for MK are to 2AM, stay out until it closes. Youll need that time to get in some short standbys. Then its wake up at 6am again with 3hrs sleep.
Basically if you want to do the BETWEEN week best, think of yourselves as nocturnal. Nap at night, sleep during the day. Youll be at the parks in the dark in the morning, and in the dark at nite. Personally, I love WDW in the dark best with all the lights plus BETWEEN week has all the Xmas decorations. Better than I expected but of course youll need a day of pure rest and recovery from your vacation.

I enjoyed eating at Aunt Polly's on NYE (pulled pork sliders on biscuits and I got a root beer float). It was crowded like this (the line for Philharmagic actually ran in to the back of the line for Peter Pan), but if you plan to go to your top priorities ad get fast passes for those, you will be fine. You also get the benefit of eating at places like Aunt Polly's that are not normally open.

Hannah Arey That’s awesome! Since we’re all the way from the Netherlands, we’ll be going for two weeks so we have enough time to do everything. With the tickets we have we can visit Universal Studios on any given day that we are there, and we have Disney World tickets for 10 days in total which we can use over the course of those two weeks. So we don’t know exactly from day to day in which park we will be, but we arrive on the 19th of February with our first park day on the 20th, and the 4th of March will be our last park day

I do think we got a lot accomplished because we scheduled our fast passes in advance and scored FPs for the big rides. We also did the EMH each night they were offered and was able to ride many of the rides with lesser wait times. I will NEVER again travel to Disney between Christmas and New Year's. I made fast passes for the harder to get rides (space mountain, jungle cruise and splash mountain). At rope drop lines were all relatively short considering the day, space mountain an hour after rope drop was only 45 minutes vs later in the day when it was 4 hours, then temporarily closed. We were able to get on all the major thrill rides more than once except for 7 dwarves which peaked at 4 hours wait time!

Only drawback is this is cheerleader/Pop Warner week, but nowhere near as trying as the last week. You deserve to take the week off, but we can’t do without you, so please do not. Another ***** (five star) Disney production.....deserving a raise this time for endurance!

Hi. I love watching your videos. Great content and awesome tips for Disneyworld. I have a question that I'm sure you've probably answered before, but I am curious to what camera you use for your vlogs, especially for you nighttime content?

I just dont see the appeal. Sure, disney is magical especially at Christmas and theres the party and everything. But it doesnt seem very enjoyable with all those lines and crowds. Without a fastpass you cant really do anything, except stand in line.

Love your videos!! What type of makeup do you wear? It seems to stay on a long time and that would be fabulous for me for our upcoming trip!!

Hi Molly! I discovered your videos a few days ago and you look EXACTLY like a dutch celebrity! You should look her up. Her name is Brit Dekker. It literally looks like you are twins!!

OLD.MR.YOUNG DUDE sadly it would promote more and make her “job” harder IMO. She is very good on camera and relates really well. Would love to see a compilation of bloopers!! I make videos and I mess up all the time.

Went on this exact date in 2013, and surprisingly I managed to get on a lot of rides without fast passes! And it was pretty busy imo. I’m guessing it just got busier over the years. But this was fun to watch, reminds me of my first trip to WDW/Magic Kingdom.

Since you can't have a selfie stick, do you have someone with you filming? The color and clarity is great. Everything from close up to far away is in great focus.

I highly recommend for families the Memory Maker ( the one that Disney Official photographers take with extra fee and will be linked to your Disney App), and make sure to request for the Magic shots coz they were all so cool esp the one at Galaxy’s Edge👍🏼

No way to those crowds! I hate crowds, and I got anxiety just watching the video. That's way to many people I think but Disney World apparently doesn't think so. Crowds at certain places and at certain times get insane. I'm always thinking what majority of people are going to do and then I do the opposite so that's a good tip.

We had to get speciall tickets for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party and was told that's how the limit the number attending to a smaller size. Of course when we went they had decided to significantly raise the number of tickets they would offer. But if you only have a regular ticket you had to leave early so no matter what you do it's very crowded.

Oh Molly, Bless you for braving those crowds, they can definitely get a little crazy, but great video and information. Is it possible to do a video with a wheelchair or ECV to show how easy or challenging it is to get around the rides on those

Agreed with Molly from my own personal experience, do not come at all this time if you can help it! Early December late November if you want the holiday magic! If you HAVE to, book all your dining and fast passes in advance, stay onsite to get access to the fast passes further in advance, make a list of the top three things in each park you must do, sleep in, stay at your resort and drink pina coladas by the pool! My fave tip is to get on your number 1 must ride 5min before closing (even if it has a long wait) as they can’t kick you off once you are in line.
Also I would pay $30 for a minnie van with the bus, boat, and monorail lines at the end, or walk to one of the resorts and have a cocktail and get an uber or Minnie van from the resort.
