    Guess they quit putting instructions in the box. The ones I got years ago said to mark and drill a divot for each set screw and blue loctite each screw. Also you are very correct "make sure you order the correct ones" I didn't and had to send them back and exchange them...Lol,great video.

    Super advertisy but a helpful, clear video nonetheless. Good stuff. Are there any general rules on which HDs used fly-by-wire vs. cable throttle? Was there a year they switched over?

    • @RyanUrlacher
      @RyanUrlacher  6 лет назад

      Yah, we have over 200 plus free videos on this channel & our free weekly podcast, so it costs us alot of time and money.....so yes we do have to support our work. There is no definite year they switched over. Some CVO's switched early. Then 2014 on touring switched. Some of the other no non-touring switched at different times.

    I install new grips on an aftermarket set of bars and on the throttle part it seems to have a lot of slack where even when I'm riding it seems to loses its grip with a throttle-by-wire and I got to push it back in while riding is there a way to fix that? It wnt move further into the bars either. Its seated the way it should be

      It's a ground wire, and I believe it goes to the headlight (I'm not 100% sure though).

    what year bike do you need to put in a shim for the brake lever

    • @RyanUrlacher
      @RyanUrlacher  6 лет назад

      I think they started putting the new better switch in 14 and on. Don't swear by it though. So, I'd shim prior to 14

    • @RyanUrlacher
      @RyanUrlacher  6 лет назад +1

      Also, you can always shim if you're not sure. Easy to do and won't hurt

    How much play should there be on the throttle grip...I don't mean slip I mean the in and out of the grip from the end of the splines in towards the reservoir. I have a little play now....when the guy installed my grips my throttle was sticking...not anymore...but I have some play
