    If André was "very close" to Mrs. Vreeland, why was he not included in "Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel" documentary?

      There was/is a concerted effort to remove Mr. Talley from Mrs. Vreeland's sphere.

      Watch Mr. Talley's appearance on "The View".
      He spills plenty of tea about the crap he's had to deal with in the industry.
      Further, check out all of the talks that he's given about his documentary.
      Inspirational, infuriating, uproarious stuff!

      TheReturnofStephan1 Ms Vreeland is dead. They were close and Andre met her at the end of her career while she was at the Costume Institute. The doc you speak about her life and people who worked with her. She had huge impact on Andre’s career. He not so much. So him not being in her doc makes sense. Nonetheless they were good friends. Also as Andre mentioned in q and a of doc during screening he wasn’t a fan of being in the camera. He did not want to do the doc the first Monday of May based on the MET gala. Anna forced him.

      @Tom London
      His absence from the doc make no sense, as her Costume Institute years were covered, and he contributed greatly to those exhibitions, as well as her personal life, when she needed him. He deserved recognition. People who had worked with her only once or twice were allowed to say plenty. There could be any number of reasons why Mr. Talley didn't appear in TFMOM, which is, frankly, irrelevant to this topic. He has no problem with the camera, judging by all of the videos of him on RUclips.:)

    He's the last word in fashion... because there's no fabric left. Anywhere.

    His grandmother and Vreeland were of the same generation, that's where the similarities ended. I once saw Andre Leon Talley sitting on the steps of The Met in a green velvet Muumuu but walked straight past him.... I thought he was a three seater sofa from the 70's!
