Shana, I feel like a broken record whenever I comment about your videos, but your artwork is so beautiful. You are truly gifted and have such creative talent and skills.
I discovered this set last night and ordered immediately. :) As we step into autumn and winter seasons I can't wait to use them for some plein air or urban sketching.
What a great choice of subject matter for this color palette! Loved how it turned out! I also have these and have not used them yet. Can’t wait to give them a try!
15:02 That was very nice that you mentioned Lindsay Weirich, she is the other of my favorite channell, she is so knowledgeable. She uses the surface of masking tape as palette for mixing pencils.
*another super nifty neato art thingy to add to my kit...already have the 12 set of pencils and absolutely love the inktense set as well so this will be a logical set to obtain in the future*
@@CautionArtistatPlay *already added to my wishlist...and not as expensive as i first thought it might be...of course seeing that individual pans are also available is more than a simple rabbit hole to leap into...but also opens up the possibility of assembling super limited pallette kits where a few of these pans are incorporated along with other watercolors and gouache and some technical pen work* *any more thoughts or ponderings about messing about with using fountain pen inks as washes or paints?...just ordered some more inks and samples from the site i mentioned previously and now up to 32 samples and 20 bottles of ink with at least three times that many on my list to eventually obtain...yeah, OCD gets really expensive after a while*
I like your idea of making a customizable palette with these and other media!! That sounds like a fun idea! As far as fountain pens and inks, I haven't had the chance to look into it yet, I have so many supplies right now that I have on hand to review and a bunch of projects planned that I need to budget out for. But I will definitely keep that in mind!

Love it. I have the pencils in my urban sketch pack. I use the pencils in conjunction with the Inktense pencils. I have the Inktense pan set and I need to get this pan set after seeing your demonstration. Thank you very much.
Hi! I absolutely adore this set! I couldnt find it anywhere and i had to buy the scrawlerbox that had it (it came with the midnight graphitint pencil) and it also went out of stock. I love the texture it leaves on the paper! I love the autumn vibes in your painting
Hey there! When I first bought this set, it was on back order at Blick, so it took forever to get here! It must be popular!! I love the texture too, so unique! Thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed the video and my painting! 💖
This turned out beautifully! I love your style. I’m not a painter but I enjoy watching others do it. Maybe I’ll venture towards this medium in the future!
That’s really beautiful! I also love painting autumn leaves, all year long 😊 The set it lovely, I almost gave mine away once, but then found a painting I did with it, a landscape, and fell in love with them again. I’m still debating if I should get the pencils, I probably will at some point in time… I already have the Midnight Black pencil, which is already a great addition, as you say.
Thank you Brigitte! Fall is definitely my favorite and provides infinite inspiration! The pencils and the pans do work great together, but I'm an art supply addict so I like having them all lol. The pans with just the Midnight Black pencil is a great start though and should give you what you need.
*just ordered this Graphitint set (via the link you provided) and a few open source pans as well...a birthday gift to myself in celebration of Three Mile Island Day*
@@CautionArtistatPlay *you're very welcome...the day has been pretty awesome...also added some of the inktense pans to my wishlist for next order to assemble that custom pallet we talked about previously so pretty jazzed on how that's going to work out*
Do you mean the Derwent Multi Liner paint pen? If so, I have tried the black one, the paint in it is nice but the one I have leaks quite a bit so I haven't bought more. Thank you so much, you have a lovely day!
Pans are open stock...lol that's how i had to buy them cause they set was on back order for months so i just bought the pans...i enjoy them along with the pencils and blocks....
Wonderful!! What brush was you using at 07:07 it looks very helpful. First time i have seen this paint too after browsing but personally i am an oil painter so probably no good to me.
Thank you! As far as the brush goes, if you are referring to the thin blue one, I believe it's probably Royal Lanickel. It's a typical synthetic taklon brush, something like this: amzn.to/3BG4kNC . I have used taklon brushes with oil painting in the past with no issues, but it really comes down to personal preference. Just before then I was using a water brush pen, which holds water in the barrel for watercolors, I believe that was a Pentel- amzn.to/3HDw0Xh. (These are affiliate links.) Thank you for watching, I hope this helps!
@@CautionArtistatPlay Thank you for sharing this maybe i could try it out with my oils, yet nowadays i only do perhaps one a year.. i'm getting old and cannot sit too long to do one but i love flicking through YT watching others paint, it beats the propaganda TV rubbish and it is always exciting to see new things and artists.. you are a lovely artist and i wish you well in all you do in the future. Thank you sweetie x
@@CautionArtistatPlay Very wise too for TV is very unhealthy with what they put out so good on you sweetie.. Thank you too and keep being you and individual :) x
Yeah, it's definitely different from other paints. It has its own properties for sure. I typically work with acrylics more than watercolors but I like to switch between mediums a lot.
Fun little fact about aubergine (UK) / eggplant (USA). In my country we call it melongene and colloquially its called baigan. I always find the term eggplant really funny.
Question can you use water brushes also whit gouache and acrylic? If so i don,t have to take as many brushes wen i go outside and paint. Cause wen i wanna paint out side i have to take alot of art suplies whit me
You can definitely use a waterbrush with them, it just depends on how much you want to water them down etc. But it could be a useful tool for sure, especially with gouache which is essentially opaque watercolor.
Oh neat! I didn't know Staedtler also made tinted graphite! I will have to check that out! I have a small set by Caran d' Ache that I want to try soon as well.
@@CautionArtistatPlay The Staedtler Tinted Graphite Watercolor Pencils have some really nice colors, too, and the 12-pack is very reasonably priced. I picked them up at Michael's for about $12.
