hey this is u/dz_mario from reddit, thanx for the tutorial. unfortunantly for me the bug/problem still persists, everything seem to be working just fine except those R2/L2 buttons for some reason they don't work, and what's making me go even crazier is that if I sprint press R2 my character does a heavy attack but when I'm standing still it just doesn't work for some reason.
at this point i've tried everything and I just give up. i guess I'll continue the journey with mouse and keyboard. and again thank you for the tutorial. have a nice day
You're welcome for the tutorial. I'm sorry to hear that the issue persists. this might sound stupid, but the issue might be with the gamepad itself. try to test the gamepad on gamepad-tester.com. if it happens there, (though unlikely) then its a problem with the gamepad. if not, try to invert the triggers in XOutput. either way, have a nice day yourself. : )

I experienced a kind of crash of xoutput during gameplay. I lost game pad control at that moment.

I'm using a 8bitdo SN30 Pro for android, this setup works before in elden ring, but yesterday, the game can't recognize the triggers. But in other games, both triggers works flawlessly.
Hmm... This could just be a issue with the game.btry to re verify the files, and restart your PC.

Using an 8bitdo SN30pro for Android, it worked before flawless, and then I when booted the game 2 days ago, the Triggers seems to stop working just on Elden Ring. Other games are okay though. Weird.

It works partially, but I need to press l2 and r2 plus another button for elden ring to recognize it.

When I hide the controller in hid hide it dissappears in xinput
you have to make an exception for xoutput
Hi thank you so much for the tutorial but I still have a problem. After I configure the controller it wouldn't let me press the start button it stayed greyed out and when I start up Elden Ring the camera just spins around in a circle around the character. When I press on the triggers it stops the camera from spinning. Additionally I can not interact with any of the menus in the game I can only look around the map with the joysticks. I went to the controller debug site and everything worked fine so if you could help me out I would really appreciate it. thanks!
Update
Alright I got it to work in the game was able to walk jump attack and everything but There is one problem. When I press either of the bottom buttons it continues to do the problem from before it makes the camera spin around once I press the attack button it fixes it and when I went into the button mapping it started glitching out and wouldn't let me select any of the buttons to remap of them. Still quite annoying but a big improvement from before thanks for the tutorial. Now im going to bed now because I have spent FAR to long trying to do this
Interesting... From looks, you probably haven't setup HidHide properly. I'll have an updated tutorial coming soon that relies exclusively on HidGuardian. That should fix it.
@@SamuraisEpic Hey you were right I did setup HidHide wrong. After I read your comment I opened HidHide and noticed the devices tab which I hadn't seen before so I clicked on that and it didn't have my controller selected. Once I selected my controller and started Elden Ring again everything worked perfectly. Thank you so much for the help!
