Siren Test w/ FAIL | FS Modulator 6024 - Wail, Voice (Armed Person FAIL), Chapel Hill, NC (6/18/24)

- So I went to Chapel Hill today to record one of UNC's sirens. You know what? I declare this test, unofficially, MY WORST SIREN TEST OF 2024. You want to know why? I waited an HOUR, literally just standing there from 4 PM to 6 PM, not only that, when the siren went off, the thing was SO quiet. I didn't expect it to be THAT quiet. I thought it was going rumble the ground like a 2906, but heres the only thing I can compare this thing to. PA Speakers. LITERALLY. And not only that, THEY PLAYED THE ARMED AND DANGEROUS PERSON MESSAGE, INSTEAD OF THE TEST. FAIL.
Also you're probably wondering why the quality is a bit low, well. I had both of my cameras out, and they were on low battery, and I didn't think of charging them because, I thought the test was gonna actually start at 5 PM instead of 6. So both of my cameras died, and my last resort was my phone.

You should try Robeson Community College, they test their siren every Wednesday, but they are changing their schedule soon. So I would go first Wednesday just to be safe.

Interesting, I am coming to NC on the first Saturday of July for vacation. I may see hamlets stl-10 as that’s the closest siren near the place I’m staying
Remember, Cordova has a Model 2 as well, assuming you're headed to Rockingham, NC? Also might as well bring a scanner if you have one incase the fire department gets a call. You might also hear the siren!

Hey when I do see hamlets stl-10, you are also welcome to come there as well and meet up if you can or want too. I may also consider recording creedmoors 16v1t if my Dad is willing to drive that far
@@BaltimoreSirens Thanks for offering, but I don't think i'm gonna head to Hamlet, and I probably wont be going to Creedmoor for a long while, and especially i'm going to Newport News to record Jefferson Lab's 10v.

imo, i'd just consider the test "not worth it" at that point.
