I (Nick) really need to try this game
I (Jamie) also feel that you really need to try this game!
You (Nick) need to contact me (Brandt) so we can play together!!
This is a GREAT game. An aMAzing amount of replay value just in the base game.
Yes, the answer is yes! 😉
Be careful Nick, it's super fun and will break your wallet trying to complete the set lol. It is one of my favorites tho. Enjoy!
I'm not sure if you mention this later, but you forgot to add consequential damage to Quicksilver every time you used him. He would have been discarded after the play at 30:19. Sorry!
The other thing is that it seems that you have your Scarlet Witch nemesis cards in the encounter deck from the start. They do not enter the encounter deck unless you draw Shadows of the Past (Treachery card). So that would have helped you out a bit later in the game.
And I'm really sorry to keep adding, but you did resolve Ultron's attack incorrectly at around 40:37; the effect on Ultron II is a Forced Interrupt, so that drone that comes up does add +1 Attack for that particular attack (not subsequent ones as you state). In other words, that text interrupts the attack procedure, and then any consequences of that forced interrupt are added into the attack it interrupted.
There are a few other minor things, but these are the major ones that I could see at quick glance. Glad you're enjoying the game; it's amazing!
Oops!! Thanks for letting me know! I didn't even see the star under Quicksilvers stuff! shoot!!
I did add her nemesis cards in right away, I don't know what I was thinking ha making things harder for myself! I for sure messed up the forced interrupt - I don't know if it would of ended up making a difference!
@@FostertheMeeple That explosion icon at the bottom of each stat indicates that the ally takes damage after using that attack/thwart. Some allies take 2 damage after an action, while others take zero (e.g. Black Cat - from core box - and her attack). But most take a single consequential damage.
@@andrewhorne2150 dannnnng I wasn't paying attention!
@@andrewhorne2150 So would she still have won, or too hard to tell?
@@randalladkins7452 too hard to tell! I would have lost Quicksilver early but could have gotten him back - who knows!
Always great to see some solo Champions playthrough. It is definitely the best way for everyone to learn the game because we are all constantly making mistakes or have questions about interactions.
I see just about everything you missed has already been covered in the comments. The only thing I will add for the sake of new players is even though you do deal yourself an encounter card after running out of cards to draw, you do not reveal and resolve it until the encounter card stage of the villain phase as normal.
In addition, you would reveal and resolve the extra card first. Thus, after you resolve the villain's (and minion's) attack or scheme, you would draw an encounter card without revealing it, giving you a total of two. Then, reveal and resolve the extra encounter card you drew earlier for running out of cards in your deck. And finally, reveal and resolve the other encounter card you just drew.
I hope that isn't too confusing.
Thanks for playing. Hope to see a multiplayer game sometime.
thanks for the clarification! Very helpful :)
Loving the solo plays!! I just got back into Marvel Champions last weekend. Sooooo fun.
awesome!! thanks for watching!!
Oh nice. I have this but never played yet. This is awesome. Leave it to foster the meeple to brighten my day!
Thanks for watching!!
Great job! This game rules and so does Scarlet Witch
Agreeeed
Great solo playthrough! I'd never seen Scarlet Witch and she looks like a blast to play with. Thanks for this.
Excellent game! Thank you for the playthrough.
Bringing this one back to the table next week. Thanks for refresher! I have Scarlett Witch too so I'm going to start with her. Thanks!
Love this playthrough! This game is incredible, I’ve just recently been getting into it and love all the variety. I need the Scarlet Witch deck now!
She’s super fun!!
Spiritual Meditation is a great card! By the way, when I first started playing, I also thought you drew 2 cards and discarded one, but the card is actually even better than that. You draw 2 cards and then discard ANY card from your hand, so that means you have even more choices to make your hand better. 🙂
whaaaat amazing!!
My favourite solo game. Thanks for the playthrough. Quicksilver should take damage when attacking/thwarting. It’s what the small damage icon indicates unter Sch/atk.
Hi, 13:36 excess damage taken by an ally does not hit your heroe unless the attack has the overkill keyword, like your vídeos a lot 😊
Thanks!!! That’s good to know!
You should be giving consequential damage to your allies EACH TIME they activate.
Yes, someone else mentioned that! I totally forgot!
"Spider-Man"
"Already have two of those."
"Spider- _Woman!"_
"Four of those."
"Ant-Man?"
"At least three, depending on who's counting."
"Has anyone taken Captain Marvel yet?"
"Girl, please."
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I am really starting to love solo game play and this game has been fun to play with others and solo. Thanks for sharing and motivating me to try solo gameplay. Do you build your own decks with what you want or follow the suggestion? I haven't figured out how to build decks differently.
I haven’t tried to build my own decks yet because I’m still working my way through all the characters and I kind of like the decks they have pre built but maybe someday!
Very interested in adding this to my collection 😁
Is it too late to jump in? I see the amount of expansions might cause my Kallax to collapse 😅
I usually make sure games have a good solo mode before committing, how would you rate the True Solo experience?
I think it's never too late!! The best place to start is with the base game which gives you lots of heros and three villains to start! I love the true solo experience, it's my #2 of all time!!
@@FostertheMeeple Yes, I agree with this. After that, you can just buy new hero packs or expansions once you feel ready. If you buy these gradually, it's a good way to gradually get used to constructing your own decks without getting overwhelmed from having too many cards to select from. Each hero has it's own base set of cards and a pre-constructed deck, too, so you can always begin there.
it's never too late for Marvel Champions. the base game has a lot of play in it, but after a time, you may start to get tired of the same heroes and villains. Then you branch out. Unlike other LCG's, you can literally get any hero pack, villain scenario pack, or large box expansion at any time.
I've played well over 200 times, and I've only played 2 big box sets. I just got 2 more, but haven't opened them yet.
Why haven't you tried Spider-Jamie? I am pretty sure that it's free 😊
Too obvious... haha 🤣🤣
Jamie is such a cutie!
