      @@NDC1115 please know people KNOW STUFF.. m18 5.0 super charger 60 min to charge a 5.0 cat claims 20 min for a 5.0.
      Am I telling you to buy it for that reason no. HOWEVER... thats 1/3 the time... 12.0 on a super is 60 min... could it also charge in 20 if it was a cat battery?
      Who knows...
      But J/W what charger is FASTER than a super since the only way to get that 5.0 charged faster is it not being a 5.0. Or you know of a magic charger.

    I’m a Makita guy through and through but when it comes to impacts, Milwaukee Gen 3 and 4 are just absolute brutes!!! 👑

      precision woodworking applications I’ve always preferred makita but if you need brute strength milwaukee and flex have that juice right now. Just picked up a 24v stacked lithium hammer drill kit and its the most powerful drill I’ve ever seen.

    Dude, Milwaukee and CAT cannot be compared. Milwaukee is a premium brand and a premium product. CAT power tools are more relevant for people who are on a lower budget. And for that price, CAT gives a better value than Milwaukee

    Do a relevant test, if you have time. How many screws are driven in 2 complete charge, discharge cycles. Your results may surprise

      Graphine batteries charge super fast. In a environment where juice is needed fast, Graphine batteries have the advantage. It all depends on what is being done.

    That’s not the advantage of graphene batteries, the point is that they can last way longer without being recharged and that they recharge much quicker

      They're probably paid well to use the name. They can wake me up in 10 years when their performance history is as good as milwaukee's and they have smaller tools that are faster, not bigger ones that are slower.

    The CAT 5.0 battery seems larger, perhaps they used 21700 cells, compared to Milwaukee’s 18650 cells in their 5.0 battery

    At that point it becomes about size, they seem close in power with 5.0 battery, but the milwaukee is significantly more compact, so it wins in the front and the power front

    The cat one was built for reg lithium ion. But cat has a new drills who motars are made for the grapheene battery. So try it with the new battery with new motor.

    If you watch the video you're pushing harder on the Milwaukee than you are on the cat you're barely pushing on the cat and letting it pull itself down while you're pushing so hard you bend your wrist on the Milwaukee

      Go watch. Plenty of videos that show on an impact driver if you push hard on them they are way slower ! You just let them do the work and they are absolutely faster ! Go check into it.

      It's more conductive, they've been talking about using it for a while now in various things. Lithium has made major breakthroughs in battery technology, but it has it's own issues.

      Not a gimmick. The Graphene isn't to give more power, its about charge times. CAT is advertising 18-20 minute to FULL charge on these batteries.

    almost perfect test. you should do each once more with hand reversed. i saw for 2nd test you put the milwaukee in your left hand. but you should have stayed consistent. then do the test again, with milwaukee in left hand both times. beside that...excellent test. i'm glad i own milwaukee!!!!

    Is everyone screwing in lagbolts nowadays? I love my Milwaukees because they give me precise control on even the tiniest of screws I’m using. Couldn’t careless if they won or lost this race.

      I use it for everything from small fasteners in woodworking projects, to running paddle bits through dimensional lumber, driving fasteners into concrete, etc at work. The power and precision of control are both of interest to me.

      Because most impact drivers (including Milwaukee) are marketed towards and designed around construction and contracting. People who do precise work buy much more expensive tools

    I have all Milwaukee tools. I've had Makita kits. I've had DeWalt kits. All are comparable. Milwaukee is more powerful but I'm getting tired of brand new tools just not working because of quality control. Thinking of switching to Bosch.

    CAT tool is 150$ with battery and charger meanwhile the milwaukee is 200$ + 150$ for charger and battery the fact that it doesnt leave the CAT in the water is enough for me

    I'm deep into earthmoving and I have the shirt, hats, socks, excavator, etc. and I still reckon Cat needs to focus more on the machines and less on the merch.
    That said the engraved & branded CAT-snap on tools are great and the air tools too.

    I don't agree with that test. The outcome depends on whether you are right/left handed. The drill that is on your natural hand will have more power as compared to the other.

    Here's what I can find about "cat tools". Made by the company that manufactures worx and rockwell (infomercial tools) and with a flat out statement at the bottom of the page that they're just licensing the cat name.

    The only impact driver to compete with m18 is the flex 24v impact driver. N there only better because they can put in Sheetrock or decks screw in faster by 1.5 seconds

    It still wasn’t a “fair” fight. That XC5.0 on the Milwaukee is just a bigger version of the CP2.0, you should have used the HO6.0 since that’s a Fuel tool. It would have blown the socks off the Cat again as the High Output batteries are optimized for the Fuel tools.

    It's time to get used to seeing Graphene in everything, especially electric car batteries. Since China dominates that market, they also control most of the world's Lithium, sooo, if Graphene which is making its name in car detailing, can supplant Lithium, that's what the US will be using for our electric car batteries.
