That's just one test and how many out there use impact this way? Not trying to defend CAT, but there is so much more to consider when selecting a power tool.
Graphine batteries charge super fast. In a environment where juice is needed fast, Graphine batteries have the advantage. It all depends on what is being done.
They're probably paid well to use the name. They can wake me up in 10 years when their performance history is as good as milwaukee's and they have smaller tools that are faster, not bigger ones that are slower.
At that point it becomes about size, they seem close in power with 5.0 battery, but the milwaukee is significantly more compact, so it wins in the front and the power front
Can you please explain to me how this test works, wouldn’t you get false results since you can be applying pressure in one arm more than the other? No disrespect or mean to be rude, just curious
The cat one was built for reg lithium ion. But cat has a new drills who motars are made for the grapheene battery. So try it with the new battery with new motor.
If you watch the video you're pushing harder on the Milwaukee than you are on the cat you're barely pushing on the cat and letting it pull itself down while you're pushing so hard you bend your wrist on the Milwaukee
Go watch. Plenty of videos that show on an impact driver if you push hard on them they are way slower ! You just let them do the work and they are absolutely faster ! Go check into it.
It's more conductive, they've been talking about using it for a while now in various things. Lithium has made major breakthroughs in battery technology, but it has it's own issues.
almost perfect test. you should do each once more with hand reversed. i saw for 2nd test you put the milwaukee in your left hand. but you should have stayed consistent. then do the test again, with milwaukee in left hand both times. beside that...excellent test. i'm glad i own milwaukee!!!!
Is everyone screwing in lagbolts nowadays? I love my Milwaukees because they give me precise control on even the tiniest of screws I’m using. Couldn’t careless if they won or lost this race.
I use it for everything from small fasteners in woodworking projects, to running paddle bits through dimensional lumber, driving fasteners into concrete, etc at work. The power and precision of control are both of interest to me.
Because most impact drivers (including Milwaukee) are marketed towards and designed around construction and contracting. People who do precise work buy much more expensive tools

I'm deep into earthmoving and I have the shirt, hats, socks, excavator, etc. and I still reckon Cat needs to focus more on the machines and less on the merch. That said the engraved & branded CAT-snap on tools are great and the air tools too.
I don't agree with that test. The outcome depends on whether you are right/left handed. The drill that is on your natural hand will have more power as compared to the other.
the drill salesman definitely lied, he claimed “50 % more power than other battery drill” it might charge faster but the power isn’t there! when will people stop lying about their products??? people use these for tools to make money, not toys
Here's what I can find about "cat tools". Made by the company that manufactures worx and rockwell (infomercial tools) and with a flat out statement at the bottom of the page that they're just licensing the cat name.
The only impact driver to compete with m18 is the flex 24v impact driver. N there only better because they can put in Sheetrock or decks screw in faster by 1.5 seconds
Never heard of Cat power tools lol. It still wasn’t a “fair” fight. That XC5.0 on the Milwaukee is just a bigger version of the CP2.0, you should have used the HO6.0 since that’s a Fuel tool. It would have blown the socks off the Cat again as the High Output batteries are optimized for the Fuel tools.

Surprising, considering the cat is rated @ 1,900 & Milwaukee @ 2,000. Still using my cat everyday.

That’s not the advantage of graphene batteries, the point is that they can last way longer without being recharged and that they recharge much quicker

Yes
Wonder if user left/right hand dominance plays a factor? No idea, genuine question

Diffencent form lithium ion
Gimmick

More or less a gimmick, it helps but just by a bit
Not a gimmick. The Graphene isn't to give more power, its about charge times. CAT is advertising 18-20 minute to FULL charge on these batteries.
Get 2 Milwaukee Gen 4s, and use a battery adapter on one of them with the graphene battery
I don't know what the price difference is. But could be a good deal for a couple of second's slower?
