Thanks for including Wave Race: Blue Storm. I loved that game as a kid and the weather effects were amazing for the time. I wish we got another one afterwards, especially since there are no major jetski racing games now.
Thanks man! Yeah, TVGS reached out to me a while back to collab, and did the first one in this series a few months ago, and back on for this one! Greatly appreciate the support of our channels!!
Gotcha Force looks fun to me, especially if it's like Custom Robo. Wario World was fun too, rented it from Blockbuster back in the day and got myself a copy years later. Mega Man Network Transmission was also a rental for me and I liked it! I liked the more classic MM gameplay and I'm pretty sure Zero is in it too which is nice. Kirby Air Ride was fun too, another rental in my life. I really liked the city trial mode. I remember playing a little bit of Mario Kart Double Dash at a friend's house but not more than once. Lost Kingdom I was always really interested and I finally bought a copy for my collection last year! I like how the card battle system works here. Also, I liked GameCubeGalaxy's narration in this! He did very well and I could see him being the voice of some video game history show. Nice work!!
Man it hurts me that Lost Kingdoms belongs to Activision/From Software because it makes a remake even less probable. If we ever get GC games on the NSO, it better be there.
The graphicaI presentation of Star Wars: Rogue Leader astound me to this day, especially considering the fact that it released upon the launch of the Gamecube. Something tells me that the same game could get rereleased today and nobody would complain about how it looks.
I wanna add real quick that Gotcha Force (my favorite gamecube game) isn't about customizing a robot, it's about assembling a team of robots- you collect them (There are 100s to collect). It's way more like Pokemon with a gatcha spin in that regard. I feel like the video made it seem like you customized YOUR robot.
1:53 - Oh is this the game with the secret sarcastic announcer that no one discovered until about a decade after the game's release? lol The Zoids VS games are the ones I would love to see remastered to be honest.
There is just something about that GameCube aesthetic that makes me really love it. Even stuff that wouldn't interest me gameplaywise looks good on the system.
Okay, was confused for a second there XD. I'm pretty sure the backing track for the Tube Slider clip is "Smile?" by The Crystal Method which came out in 2009, but I checked and Tube Sliders came out in 2003. For a second I thought: "How does a game get a song on its OST from the future?" but I checked and it's not on the OST list, so I take it they just paired some other song with the game clip instead of tracks from the official OST. XD
I played it back and the day and found it fun but I couldn't tell you if it is actually a good game. It's not a GameCube exclusive so probably won't appear on these lists.
I'm glad Paper Mario A Thousand Year Door is finally getting rereleased for Switch. But there's plenty of GameCube games that aren't so lucky. I'd like to see: Eternal Darkness, Geist, and Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes get rereleased too. Heck, there's plenty of games from the Xbox 360 and PS3 I'd like to see get rereleased too.
For anyone sweating the cost of Gotcha Force. I will let you know first hand that Custom Robo, Power Stone, or Virtual On are just flat worth your time more. Gotcha Force is short and easily beaten. Easily a weekend rental game of its day I played it back when and thought "oh I might pick it up, but not at 40 dollars". And I have never changed my mind as that price rose
Factor 5 completed a full Rogue Squadron remastered trilogy for the Wii, complete with motion controls and a 1:1 lightsaber combat mode. But LucasArts cancelled it last minute :( It's probably still sitting on a harddrive somewhere...
Why does the thumbnail feature Alia from the MegaMan X series in her X8 design? MegaMan X8 was originally only on the PS2 and never touched the GameCube. In fact X8 couldn't be played (legally) on a Nintendo system until the X Legacy Collection arrived on Switch.
@@NetBattler Alia doesn't appear with this design in MegaMan X Command Mission. The design in the thumbnail is specific to X8, a PS2 exclusive game. So I never needed to remember it.
Gotcha force remains one of my favorite GameCube games to this day, in fact i'd say it is more memorable to me than even Mario sunshine, metroid prime, and Mario kart truly a great game. The voice acting was meme tier though. I clicked this video hoping gotcha force would get a mention.
Gotcha Force is rough around the edges in some spots, but it's such a great idea that I don't care. I've always said it's the lovechild of Virtual On and Pokemon. 200 collectable gotcha borgs, each with unique movesets, that you can use to build a team. Some of them are so huge that you'd think they were boss characters only but nope! You can unlock them and use them if you want. It should have caught on, but Gamecube was really struggling at the time and Capcom basically didn't advertise it. A sequel would have smoothed out the rough edges. I feel like we were robbed.
I love Chibi Robo and so glad that I got my copy. Disc only and it was for $200, but no regrets. But I think Star Fox Assault belongs on this list. It was a great game for that system....
I absolutely loved Wario World, but I was really let down by the fact that there was any post-game content or some sort of prize for beating all the bonus stages... especially the very last one, for anyone that remembers 🥵
I wouldn’t say chibi robo is stuck on the GameCube since like they remade the game in recent times. And it has sequels with the same gameplay and areas
why do I felt that the 1st game in this vid - Gotcha Force, felt like it was intended originally for Megaman Legend 3 that was cancelled and its asset being repurposed for this game instead... 🤔
Chibi-Robo North American version is so expensive! I decided to buy the Japanese version instead. It was way cheaper and is the same game as the NA with some minor changes. The only drawback is the text been in Japanese
@@thatvideogamesshow honestly, a lot of gamecube games have. they might not have had the power but they had great developers forced to do the best they could to keep up and i would say its the console with some of the best colors out there
I believe the main issue as to why it didn't get re-released was the inclusion of the anime's main theme as one of the songs in the OST. Music licensing is a pain (main reason why it took forever for Crisis Core: FF7 to get re-released).
""stuck"" on gamecube like gamecube doesn't have a great emulator. ""stuck"" like the wii (a glorified gc) isn't one of the easiest consoles to mod ever. what a stupid title

I get what you're saying, but there are certain enemies in Gotcha Force (Namely the larger air borgs) that straight up break the camera. As in, you can't see where your borg is in relation to your target for the entire time you're targeting them. It's an otherwise good game with an amazing concept, so it's not unforgivable, but I think it's still worth mentioning. I don't recall that ever happening in Virtual On, though I've only ever played the Saturn and Dreamcast games.

Glad you enjoyed it =) More to come!
Gotcha Force is THE Gamecube game for me, freaking LOVE it. I had 2 copies of the game and sold one for a decent amount actually.
I loved Lost kingdoms. It would be super cool if it got an HD remaster. Same with Rogue Squadron II, I played the hell out of that game as a child.
Would love to see that happen!
I’d love a 1 and 2 switch remaster. Soooo fun. Online play would be perfect
Man it hurts me that Lost Kingdoms belongs to Activision/From Software because it makes a remake even less probable.

More on the way =)
Thanks for this video. The fact most GC games are so expensive now makes it even harder to play these gems.
Well, you can't talk about good games only on Cube without *Darkened Skye*
Me pointing at GameCube Galaxy: *Where is it* ?
Bob-omb blast on Double Dash is still my favorite battle mode to this day, my brothers and I put so many hours into.
Lost Kingdoms Remasters and a Skies of Arcadia Remake are all i want from GC's library.
7:48 That Wario game looks incredible, hopefully it will make it into Switch GameCube online in the future
Would love to see GC games on the service!
I like the original opening music to your videos, great video as always
Won't be going away, just fancied a little change for this episode =)
Tube Slider looks amazing!
It is!
Definitely a hidden gem for the console! Hope you get a chance to try it out one day 👍.
It's fantastic and so is the soundtrack
Nice collab. I never had a GameCube but these are the type of games I would've played👍
Glad you enjoyed it Des!
It's crazy how almost every exclusive GC game is an amazing title. We could get a whole generation worth of titles just by remaking the whole library.
I'll second that!
Why remake games that are already amazing? Like adding HD to Monet or Picasso.
The graphicaI presentation of Star Wars: Rogue Leader astound me to this day, especially considering the fact that it released upon the launch of the Gamecube. Something tells me that the same game could get rereleased today and nobody would complain about how it looks.
Great Stuff, as always!
Also, Lost Kingdoms II (Rune II: Koruten no Kagi no Himitsu in Japan), but I assume it will be for #3 of this video.
There are a TON of amazing gems locked in the Gamecube's library. Always happy to see some getting called out.

Chibi robo is a charming game but sadly to this day is so expensive D:
