The only reason I enjoyed housing in the past was with archeage and the ability to grow, harvest then make trade packs to take long distances to make money, I hope that will be a part of this game.

That system is essentially in with pack mules and caravans so I think you will find something quite similar here in Ashes of Creation!

There are some small risks with housing.1. If your node happens to have a Reliquary with exceptional benefits to the citizenry, then that node becomes a greater target. If lost, you keep your blueprint, but rebuilding will be costly. 2. Privacy: your name, guild, society, religion and property ownership will be available to any who look at the Node Board in town. 3. Stage 3, so far, will only have 8 in-node houses (notice the buildings in the metropolis video) These "would be" mansions I'd bet will be bought quickly by guilds pooling their money. Citizen tickets are being considered as an alternative to housing. Lastly, one cool thought is for several artisan folks placing their Freeholds near one another. This could be a place to get your materials, processing and services all done in a localized area. Lots of testing to do on housing over the next year for sure!

I hope we can have homes with multiple large bedrooms. I've seen very little of the inside of Ashes homes.

Please make sure that the lions share of housing deco is played for and not paid for. Thank you!

Truth! Something tells me you may be happy about the answer to that :-) It is highly focused on in-game achievement and crafting. Ashes is not a P2W or P2C game!

Now that Caravans look like they are solidifying, I am now somewhat concerned about Freeholds.
If I understand, proper processing of materials depends on Freeholds. I don't imagine you can do Animal Husbandry in an apartment or even a manor. This means a functioning economy requires Freeholds.
As for me, I just hope that once I get there, I won't be locked out of getting an apartment somewhere.
I imagine doing business with a Freehold, but not owning one myself.

You are correct. Shouldn't be an issue getting an apartment dependent on the node. But if you don't plan on processing the apartments will work for you.

I'm guessing that decoration isn't going to be given a lot of thought if houses can be lost/torn down.
I would hate to work on a home's decor for a year and suddenly lose it because the node changed.
I also hate losing out on the spot I want. It was the worst part of ArcheAge. I played for two years and the spot I wanted never went for sale.
It's heartbreaking that housing isn't going to be good in Ashes of Creation. The graphics look so beautiful, but ArcheAge was the absolute worst housing system.
At least I can rest easy and invest my time in ESO. No one can take away my instanced housing, and I love building castles.

I don't know if I would agree with that. ultimately we have to wait until we see the system as it is fully developed. I expect it will be somewhat more basic at launch and likely get an update later!
