Alex Z. That´s a joke.. right? at 2007-2009 Hardstyle started to split into 2 different genres, Rawstyle and the "Weaker" hardstyle. The "real" hardstyle was before 2007. I like hardstyle that was created 2009 aswell, i can even enjoy track that is produced today. But the "weaker" Hardstyle has grown too much and have taken over the more Raw/hard style. This track is hardstyle. Real Hardstyle, epic vocals, Good Build up, Untill the epic Deep/energic melody&Bass kicks in. Not like today.. Today it´s a sissy melody with pop singing and a weak kick in it. (That is my opinion.) "Style evolves untill it have reached the point of perfection" Perfection in my opinion they have already reached a few years ago. Now it´s just going downhill. Ofcourse this is only my opinion.

2005-2010 were the Golden Years in my eyes - Zany's 2005 Qlimax Anthem started to pave the way for the hardstyle we know and love today - Maybe not on this very day, up until 2010/2011 it was utter banging. Following the major introduction of Big Room House, I absolutely hated any artist that incorporated the silly sounding melodies, build ups and "drops". Raw/Rawphoric is topping the charts at the minute, great to see new, talented, up and coming artists.
***** Comparing oldschool HS to newschool HS is just like comparing techno to reggae. There's absolutely nothing similar between both. Newschool HS sounds horribly annoying and I don't even know why they call it hardstlye. The only hard about it it's that it's hard for listening because it's terrible.

Back when Hardstyle was actually Hard a f Rawstyle almost captured this magic but failed when they distorted the kick too much. Never again will this be matched by any Hardstyle act, and the last time it happened was for Rephex & ABW - Nuclear, and maybe once or twice after the fact. Either way, this was the Golden Era and we did fuck all to nurture it properly. Yes, *we* are to blame.
This is realy one of the best tracks imo. Nothing compared to these hardstyle melodies these days. Just like the nasty boys - angel which I also like very much :D
