I Owened the boat until 2018. To pull the main sail down it helped to pull the leech down by pulling down the back part of the boom. That sounds strange but via the leech you can bring force on the upper mast sliders. But I think that only helps with mast sliders

Hello, I have been sailing on a Tricat 22 sport for a few months and I have a lot of difficulty to hoist and also to lower my sail. I see on your video that you have installed sliders. Do the sliders on the sail, in place of the boltrope, improve the work? thanks for your contribution.

Hey, I'm the new owner of this exact boat. It's been sitting derelict for a couple of years and I'm bringing it back up to sailing condition. Hoisting the sail is easy, like on any dinghy basically, but getting it down is still really difficult. I recently cleaned the grove in the mast thoroughly and am cleaning all the blocks and sliders in the hope that it helps. I'll let you know how it goes!

@@CloudElve Hi Marco, thank you for your reply. I replaced the boltrope by sliders (quite similar to your sail). The job for hoisting and getting down is now realy improved.
I also replaced the top sheave, that was out of order. So it is difficult for me to tell the real part of the gain thanks only to the sliders. However, I never sail alone: too difficult by my own to rig and derig the sail. Keep me up!

@@CloudElve Hey, I am between buying a tricat 22 or a magnum 21. Trying to upgrade from my Hobiecat 18. I would appreciate it if you could enlighten me on some things.
