- Here's part two of going through almost a decade's worth of old sketchbooks - aka a massive sketchbook tour! In these sketchbooks, you will find a lot of experimentation, mistakes, things I was so happy to find again, lists of art goals, and more! I hope this inspires you to keep going on your journey while being kind to yourself and your creative process.
Please note: I failed to date each sketchbook, so the flip through is not in chronological order. It was a lesson learned, and I will try harder to date my future sketchbooks. Thanks for being so gracious during part 1!

I tend to draw women more than I do men (but I do draw them too from time to time), not sure why other than it feels natural to me, but I think people should be able to draw what they want as much as they want, it's their sketchbook and no one else's. I'm enjoying this series, it's fun and helpful to see your progression.
You talking about "Omg, this is so creepy... what was wrong with me?".... me over in the corner with nervous laughter, thinking if she thinks THAT'S creepy... well, screw me then, 😂😂😂😂😂😂, jk. I mean not really, but ya know lol.
A video from you, the prompt one with the pencils, and scales etc was recommended to me on my Google homepage. Although that video wasn't really my vibe, I have fallen in love with your content so far, and I believe in the universe kinda pushing things together when needed, and I have been beating myself up about not drawing every day, even if it's the dreaded hands, or something else, or that I ate toast, or maybe silly thought entered my head and I can put into an illustration. It's like the floodgates just kind of finally hit that last stress fracture, and burst! I've been looking up feb list prompts for a while, and tonight, I'll be inventing my own for the last day of Jan, transitioning into Feb. And 28 drawings(or more) will be in my art journal.
Glad I found your channel! 🖤💜🖤💜🖤
This has made me want to go through my old sketchbooks. I lost a lot from college cuz of a flood in our storage unit. I have tons of sketchbooks and i tend to rip them out and i don't finish the drawing. I have a scrapbook portfolio of all my artwork from highschool on so i do have some great ones. Its fun to look back and see where i was and how i improved.
Omg... i started watching in 2018... perhaps even earlier. I remembered you sketching your day and writing your goals... wauw... 😮❤❤❤
Goals for art in 2017.
Capture more emotions in faces is what it was that you wrote.
I remember your sketchbook videos 😊 I love the last book most so far! I like how you used left over paint for a pattern too.
I do love those sketchbook ideas videos… But I end up forgetting what the ideas are because there’s so much cute/fun ideas in one video! I’m gonna have to start taking more screenshots of stuff that inspires me and actually put those ideas to paper!
Also, so much amazing drawings in these sketchbooks!
I love that you are doing this. It made me realize I've been watching you for a long time because as soon as you hit the what I do in a day pieces, I was like, I remember that. I've also tried a lot of your sketchbook ideas when I find I can't think of anything. Thank you for that.
i have an art block, ive done so much art last year, some for me, others for friends and family. i feel more crafty than doing paintings.
Love the ‘honeymoon’ sketchbook. Great portrait work. 🙂
I’m so glad you are posting these videos. I haven’t picked up a brush in a long time because I put pressure on myself to always do a perfect polished piece every time. It helps to know it’s ok if I don’t like every piece of art I create. I need to learn to enjoy the process.
I LOVE this little series!!!
Wonderful sketchbooks tour! Some I never seen it in your videos before too!
Thanks for sharing them with us 😊
And thank you again for wanting to do more sketchbook videos, I love those type of videos the most, especially if the artworks is done with materials like the ones I own and know how to use 😂😂 such as colored pencils, oil pastels, a couple of months ago I started to use soft pastels/chalks to paint skies too! It's enjoyable but messy 🤣🤣
I have acrylics but I rarely use them! I love watercolor media too , also coloring pages 😊
Have a wonderful day 🌸
Love this! I moved last year and have been cleaning up and storing all my old sketchbooks and drawings so this is right on time!
Im loving this series, so many amazing different styles ☺☺
i really like your creepy stuff lol. i love when creepy meets pretty/cute. the dichotomy just makes me happy for some reason haha
Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed parts 1 and 2, and am looking forward to part 3. 😊👍
It's fascinating seeing how people change and grow as artists. You can really see how you've improved. Also It's neat that you embraced being a style hopper. It's good to be true to who you are I think.
I do love your sketchbook videos a lot of times they helped pull me out of an artistic block..
😅💚
Ive really been struggling with my sketchbooks lately... ive ingrained in my brain that I cant make bad art for some reason.. ah probably bc on the internet people only seem to do perfect stuff and never bad... everything others do seem better than me
It's easy to fall into that rabbit hole, I'm definitely guilty of this. I'm trying to be mindful of when I find myself doing this (now), I stop whatever I'm looking at (like Instagram for example, and comparing myself to other artists) and take a break and focus on something else (such as gaming or reading, etc). I think it's helping to reset and bring myself back from that spiral. I hope my rambling is helpful to you in some way. Just make art, even if you don't like it at the moment. Either you WILL end up making something that you love or end up loving that work you made previously, after looking at it with fresh eyes (hope that makes sense) ❤
You're such a positive, amazing, cute person. Great character and such a good soul. Thank u so much, i love you and your art
12:57 one of them is called quickposer
I cant remember if I was subbed to you or not but I remember the last grey book n several videos you did with it like the gazebo next to the elderly couple the page where you sewed in the pocket and a couple other pgs😊
pls do another video with the art dice that was so fun and creative (if you want to of course)
Thanks for your positive message. I agree I look back on some of my old art and think it looks terrible but by keeping it rather than destroying it I can also look back and see how much I have improved from when I started (also remember what supplies do and don’t work)
The little fox that you skimmed past, in the last sketch book if this video, I remember you drawing that and sitting and drawing it along with you. I hadn't really drawn much before that and I really enjoyed it! Thank you xx
Love this series.
honestly wish steampunk was still the vibe, waiting for that to come back - great place to start the video you had me at airship
It's always fun going through your older art to see how you've grown! I've seen myself grow even over 1 sketchbook. Thanks for sharing!
Hahaha no because I was actually sitting here hating the sketch that I just did... Thank you for encouraging me, Mira!
Great fun.
Ahh, part two is here=3 Thank you for even more inspiration!=3
Mira, you have incredible talent. I love seeing you make art and the finished product as well. Really enjoying this series.
Mira, I love those Poppy flowers paintings! I also love how you draw hair it's so pretty! My granddaughter's name is Poppy. She heard you say Poppy and she smiled! She is 7 months old . Will you make a Poppy print or recreate one? Another one of my favorites is the self-portrait of you in a Poppy field. It isn't in any of these sketchbooks, but I've always really liked that! Thanks always for the inspiration!
An interesting journey. Thanks for sharing your sketchbooks over the years and various phases you went through.
Speaking of that, have you ever tried collage art? I was never interested but started practicing composition and storytelling last year using paper 'aged' with coffee, and (repro) vintage art cut-outs. Fun! I'm going to try adding more painted elements to the collage cut-outs this year. The sky's the limit!
I love watching these and seeing some of your art before I found your channel in 2019. ☺️
Fun to watch you travel back in time to your old sketchbooks. 🤗😍 I have watched many of your sketch with me videos, and these are starting to look familiar, lol!! 😂 To me, it seems like you've been doing a lot of watercolor, but that is probably because I watched them recently, ROFL!! 🤣
What is your favourite sketch book to work in?? Love these videos and seeing how much you have grown with your art. Very inspirational 🙂
Have you ever thought about getting all three create this book and take one prompt each book and used in new sketchbook🎉 to fill
I joy this
Line of action
hopefully part 3 will still come? 🥺❤️
I always feel like I'm better at drawing cartoon characters, but I want to draw more realistic figures.
=)
You funny lot cute
you finished a sketchbook because you were not dealing with 2 title time stealing sprogs who would rather just spend time gumming the corners of the books 😝
