I just realised why rich people don't talk to poor people about money
Underrated comment
Great comment
Did you realize it is because one can only pretend to be doing another a favor for so long while exploiting them before that fact becomes obvious? If that wasn't your realization you missed.
@doug dimidome Exactly, most of them probably can't even hold a minimum wage job.
You ain't lying 😂, Peter is a good dude! A multi Millionaire that actually cares about educating people. He's one of the Goats
This dude is so 1% that he has another dude holding his sign for him
Thanks for the laugh
He actually said it himself "I could actually be in the 1% of the 1%" lol

_"Instead of eloquently explaining what "MEME" means... he MOCKS Peter. lol._
Imagine if he instead said, _The concept of a 'meme' was first popularized by Dawkins' _Selfish Gene,_ but has taken like 25 years to start catching on. He used it to make an analog of a gene, passing phenotypic traits by Mendelian statistics ... whereas MEMES compete for people's desire to replicate itself through conversations (similar to how genes do but _sociologically_ ) ... to spread itself based on it's competitive advantage.
Then, his dummass demanded people listen to his REMEDIAL ideas that he YELLED. Not realizing WALMART plays within the rules the GOV MADE regulating employee healthcare policies.
Think about how eeeTARDED-RAY he is ... he has a RARE opportunity to LISTEN to someone that is unlike ANYONE he not only knows, but ever has or WILL know. Yet, he wanted to hear himSELF talk.
He flips out bc the EPA or Dept of Edu are VERY bad ideas ...
But he never ONCE explains why they're necessary.

Wow, just wow. I can't say he was wrong
The Founding Fathers were right to institute a republican form of government. Processes such as voting and elections are vital for the public to express themselves politically, but when it comes to governance, decision making should be based on expertise rather than mob rule. A republican form of governance tries to strike a balance between having the voices of the people heard and having effective governance by technocrats.

This is one of the greatest videos I’ve ever seen. I give Peter massive respect for staying so patient and calm. I think this really goes to show one of the fundamental issues we are facing is education of the masses. I feel bad for a lot of these people because they are very misinformed on many topics
I agree, this video showed that a lot of people do not want to change their mind and believe they should have everything provided for them. Thats probably why these people have so much time to protest, they've been unemployed forever and expect hand outs from the government. Especially the v for vendetta mask guy. He had the most ridiculous arguments of anyone. And in some sort of stockhold syndrome was praising the government for ending slavery lol, the people that originally sanctioned it, and talking bad about the corporations that would be able to provide Healthcare and good wages to a loyal and hard working employee. I don't think he has a job.

Respect to Peter for doing this. I don't think somebody can do what he did in today's age.
Pretty interesting hearing all these peoples' frustrations, but it never ceases to amaze me how people can have such strong opinions without having any realistic understanding of their own cause
I remember watching this when it first came out. The problem we have here is a bunch of people who are uneducated on our financial system. An individual could spend a solid 5-7 hours watching educational videos on our monetary system and economics, and learn 10 times more then a college graduate has ever learned in their entire 16 years of school. These people don't realize they are massively undereducated or miseducated when it comes to our financial system. Hopefully he encouraged people to educate themselves.
The point is, that Peter is very aware of this....and yet he does get in the :arguement" with them, pretending to not understand what the problem with the financial/ political system is.
@ProsoxiSxoleio. He's trying to explain it to them
Lmao literally not even 5 hours to get a firm understanding that most “financial experts” only understand money as far as they can make it

This is basically a PhD level lectures in economics for free
Peter is a legend, so kind of him to try to teach those ignorant, half drugged out crowd of people about capitalism. Hopefully someone learned something from him
I wish he listened more instead of always trying to steamroll conversations. He employed a typical disruption technique of constantly interrupting as they're talking to disrupt their train of thought and try to direct the conversation where he wanted it to go. It's a common practice by people who want others to think they're smarter than they actually are.
Except.... he's not teaching them, he's deceiving them. It's because of Capitalism and businesses not doing the right thing that forced the governments hand in creating regulations. It came full circle, but he only wants people to focus on the government. Why? Because all he truly cares about is making more money himself. He cares about HIS profits. If he actually cared about the people, he'd pay employees more and take less money himself. If he can make millions himself, then there's no reason he can't pay employees more, which in turn gives them more money to spend on items, which helps the economy, which makes business owners more money, and it cycles around. But the rich of this era make excuses for why they make billions and their employees can barely make ends meet on minimum wage. It's a con job, and it's easy to fall for if you can't see through the deceit.
Lol I guess you missed the part on tax rates impeding business growth…. You must of also missed the part of productivity per unit of labor…. Of course he’s worried about making more money himself. He mentioned that. He employs many people (of whom you do not even know what they’re getting paid). Would you rather have a few people make more? Or pay many more people the wage rate per unit of time that competition allows in a capitalist society? There are plenty of reasons why he can’t pay employees more, he just listed them out in the video? Also, minimum wage does not equal livable wage… minimum wage is exactly what it says… the minimum in which an employer can pay. Typically these are low skilled jobs. You build skill and acquire knowledge that you learned by entering the labor force presumably at minimum wage then you take what you learned and you advance your career. Poverty is not stagnant. It does not consist of the same people. People move in and out of wage brackets all the time. I’m making a hell lot more money now than I made when I was 21… do you see what I’m saying? I don’t want to be rude, but you’re really clueless on economics of a capitalist society.
@@inthemaking9714 Claiming tax rates impede business growth is a bullshit argument and not actually reality. They claim it's true, but it really isn't. If the business itself and the people at the top are making millions/billions, then it's just not reality. The 50s that he loves to talk about as the golden era of Capitalism had MUCH higher tax brackets than today, and that didn't impede any growth. The minimum wage back then was higher than todays minimum wage when you adjust for inflation as well. Minimum wage back when it was introduced WAS a liveable wage. It's only in recent times that it became so low compared to the costs of living that it was no longer a liveable wage. I believe it was around the 80s where minimum wage adjusted for inflation to today was around $14. So.... what happened? It wasn't taxes, because taxes dropped. It can't be regulations because businesses continued to make more and more profit. So, what was it? The simple answer, it was greed. Companies realised they could cheat the system under Capitalism and they could massively increase the costs of their services, without increasing wages, to maximize their profits. They realised they could monopolise their areas of business at the expense of everyone to increase the wealth of those at the top. Regulations keep being added because businesses are NOT doing right by their workers. Businesses have FORCED the governments hand in adding regulations. Back in the day, they didn't need so many regulations because businesses weren't taking advantage of everyone else for their own profit AS BADLY as they are today. It's BECAUSE of Capitalism that life is so expensive compared to wages in this era. Capitalism unchecked leads to greater and greater wealth gaps and more and more people in poverty.
Oh, and by the way, there are most definitely areas where the same people stay in poverty and can't get out of it. There are whole communities that have to live like that. There are many reasons as to why it's happened but that was a foolish comment. Sure, there are some that move in and out of poverty, but there are still a lot that stay in poverty and no amount of trying to move up the ladder works for them. Just because YOUR situation isn't like that, doesn't mean it's not like that for others. That is a concept that both you and Peter fail to comprehend.
@johnnysoccer1983. It's very obvious you don't understand basic economics. AND you're spouting typical uninformed socialist propaganda about the "greedy" businessmen. There's no way this guy could do this today, way too dangerous. Scary to see how far we devolved even from this.
This is exactly why we've devolved. OWS was legitimately threatening to those in power. So they had to nip it in the bud by injecting identity politics into the movement. Now the same financial institutions we used to protest fund groups like BLM and Antifa. Main street gets destroyed, Wall Street business as usual.
Isn't that crazy? This video was less than a decade ago and if someone in the 1% tried to do this today, they might very well be beaten up and ridiculed. (Obviously it would depend where in the US they chose to try this)

omg haha you're the MVP
@@edz8659 You sound like the people spouting off in the video without listening to his words. He repeats again and again that he's not for "getting rid of government," but rather downsizing them, taking away their power to GIVE power to the fat cats, and having them refocus on what their SOLE PURPOSE is to begin with, which is protecting the people and the country, period.
Of course the government helps some people and businesses on Wall Street! He says so himself -- did you not listen? However, wasting time and energy on occupying Wall Street is the exact same thing as treating the symptoms of cancer rather than the cause, which is Washington, DC. If anyone looks to government to lead them and provide for them, then they deserve the slavery that inevitably awaits. I'll not be a part of that, myself.
I like this 1% guy. He makes sense. You get rich by adding value. All these people are the "gimme" type and only take not add.
@@earlaweese we don't. but by the way they talk, and how their mentality shows, we can deduce what type of people they are
And watch the government give them what they asking for because the government knows it's not the solution. And poor people never think about how they keep asking rich people who worked for their lifestyle to support them because they refuse to lesson.🤦🏾
But, CEOs don't add 300x the value of their average employee, yet they make 300x the wage of their average employee. Think about what really makes sense; the people controlling the wages are greedy and overpaying themselves. Starting a business shouldn't mean that you're so much better off than the people that allow your business to function, the labor, that you obtain so much more than them. There are literally people working their asses off that can barely take care of their families while their boss has so much expendable income they can buy literal islands. That's a huge disparity that you may be able to rationalize, but not justify.
@@Sup3rB4dVideos I think that's an interesting way to look at it but let's take someone like Bezos for example. Seems fair that he's got the wealth he has, no? But when I saw my paycheck (keep in mind while in college) I was happy. It's nice to see my hard work pay off. It allowed me to invest, buy a car, pay for school. Do the Things I wanted to do. So tell me, what's wrong with that? I'm not saying everyone will have my situation, but most people don't want to work. You think that people who work 40-60 hours a week are poor? No. The people who bitch about this are the ones that are uneducated. Just a simple fact. I love capitalism, it's not perfect, but you now what? At least whatever I give, I get my share back. Something that will never happen in socialism.
Tobirama Senju that’s their fault for working that hard and not investing and trying to get ahead. America is the only country you can be born in any position and make it to the top. You’re just making excuses.
Tobirama Senju you should work overtime and work as hard as you can until you have passive income from your investments but most people lack money management and skills like that which is good because we don’t want everyone being rich.
