Look. If you think there was room to improve with the macaroni recipe, you're probably correct. But this isn't Gordon Ramsey cooking for 5 rich people, this an old man who with his core of kindness goes out of his way to cook a BIG meal for many many people who are probably not as fortunate as you. Just be respectful and appreciative and grateful that you can sit on your device and watch people do good things for others in need.

Thank you for your comment. I understand your views, and appreciate them. I think you may have misunderstood me though. I made this comment because there are tens of other people in the comment section criticizing his food. They should just be glad he's doing good for people in need, no matter how well done his recipe is. I agreed there could be room for him to improve, but these people were not giving him tips or ideas on how to make it better, they were just bluntly being rude. Also, with the Gordon Ramsay. I didn't mean it in a way to make him seem arrogant or an 'a-hole'. I simply used his name because he is a very good chef with high quality work, and his food comes for a pretty high price, while this old man is making the food in this video for less fortunate people for no price whatsoever. Thank you, and I hope I've cleared some stuff up for you. I made the comment just from kindness and had no intention to go off on other commenters individually or call out Gordon, who I think is a great chef.

That’s the type of person everybody should admire, he looks like a regular old man, but his a great hero, saving children from hunger and cooking a new recipe everytime. Many people at his age are just cranky and they just stay sleeping in a couch, but he has still the courage to prepare a new recipe at his style, he is a chef, a hero and a really good role model at the same time.LONG LIVE GRANDPA! :)

Kraft's boxed mac and cheese would've came out better imho.
He botched the roux. Flour goes into the butter before milk. It’s why it ended up looking bad, and the cheese sauce probably had a grainy texture. I love grandpa and what he’s doing but if you wanted to know why some people are saying it looked bad that’s why.

I’ve recently found this channel and just love watching. Grandpa cooks for the whole village village. Very selfless. This is as calming and entertaining as anything I’ve seen on Food Network or the Cooking channel and this benefits many of his family and friends. Wonderful. I was thinking, wow, I’d like a bowl of that mac n cheese.

How does he have so many recipes, I know it's amazing and all how he helps the children, but it seems like the person behind the camera tells the grandpa what to do. Seems strange to me as to how this grandpa has recipes that come from all around the world.
:D Ok I'm a very recent subscriber to Grandpa and as I'm viewing so many of his fascinating videos I wonder if he has resided in the USA hence, all of the American style recipes. I also marvel at how he is able to regulate the fire temperature while cooking and baking EVERYTHING on an outdoor open fire. Grandpa does possess top notch camping style culinary skills and yes many of the recipes are very Americanized. Tell me more about what you think :/
leeleemee It's very much a possibility that he could've been to other countries or the US, but it does seem a little strange, it's as if the people behind the camera are behind everything, still it's a great thing they're doing, but it just seems like it's staged to me. I Get ads on most of the videos and it just seems like a cash grab. Just hope we can find an answer to this, like a Q&A, also they have a patreon page and it seems like a channel I can't understand.
I haven't delved in any further past just watching the videos. Yes I can easily see that these are very professionally produced videos for such a humble and seemingly simplistic stated cause (Grandpa feeds the hungry/needy orphans). It would be a shame but not a surprise if corruption lies here. In the meantime I'll just continue to enjoy the well produced and emotionally moving videos and hope that there is still some goodness here. Oh well.

We love you grandpa, the thing you do for the people just melts my heart
It looks great Grandpa...but might I make a suggestion for the next time you make it. Put you milk in first then the butter so that the butter doesn't scorch. Bring the milk and butter to a slight boil. The add your cheese and stir until the cheese, milk and butter are creamy...Flour will just cake up the mixture and take away from the flavor of the cheese. Melted Cheese will thicken on it's own. If you don't have enough cheese to make a thicker sauce you can use a little Corn Starch. But don't over use it. Once the sauce is nice and thick and there are no clumps, add your noodles and stir until the noodles are coated in cheese sauce. If you're able too, try using 2 or 3 different types of cheeses with the cheddar...your choice to what kinds you like. Take care and keep your cooking shows coming. I enjoy them very much.

Could not quite understand what you were asking, but if what you were asking is: 'why does it matter whether I block or unblock this channel for him' - simple - With each ad affiliated (or not) Grandpa gains revenue generated from those ads via RUclips, aka he recieves money, normally people place ad blocker because the ads are tedious.

Advice for if you make this again: melt butter in pan then mix flour into it. When it turns into thick paste you can put the milk in slowly while you mix so there is no lumps and then add the cheese.

yes with the salt but not oil because it stops the sauce from sticking to the macaroni
the sauce needs to be thin when first adding the pasta otherwise the pasta sucks it all up! Asian food is much more tasty than mac and cheese.
@Syuna ok? Was that adding or subtracting from the conversation? There are smoother ways that people might not have necessarily thought about. Why are you trying to cause conflict?
That makes no sense. You make the sauce, I.E. bring the butter and milk to a boil then add roux or a slurry to thicken then melt cheese into it. Then you pour the sauce over the pasta and mix and it coats it, not absorbs it.
