I never knew there were filmed footages of Mr. Louis Wain; I’m delighted to see him in action! I hope Mr. Wain is up in heaven with all his feline friends.
That’s not true, he made normal cat pictures his whole life and also made abstract cat pictures, those people are lying. His art did not get crazier as his mental health deteriorated, it’s unknown what his illness even was because of the poor mental health knowledge at the time.
I’m so happy some footage of him exists. I actually made my own drawing of a smiling white gray and orange cat in his style on a background of rainbow lines with the quote from his final painting on the top “I am happy because everyone loves me”. My sister also drew it as well in her style the only difference was the cat is the one saying the quote. Probably representing how Louis Wain drew his cats to express his emotions.
He was such an amazing painter and people loved genuinely loved him He was one of the first people to draw animals in a full-on acting like humans way So tragic that we lost him
It's interesting that the cats in his drawing are so expressive and lively while he is so subdued and expressionless, even the way he spoke was expressionless apparently
He was smiling at the kitty when he was holding it! Also it’s theorized that he may have been autistic and I think that makes sense, cuz of having a flat affect and only relating to animals

And with his wife aswell ^^
I like how he throws his sketches on the ground as any artist would do when showing his/her artwork

Have you seen the movie The Electric Life of Louis Wain ? Well worth seeing
@@digitalmediafan Wonderful film 😻
I am interested in his psychedelic progression and the cat pictures going from charming to something found in an asylum.
