I never knew there were filmed footages of Mr. Louis Wain; I’m delighted to see him in action! I hope Mr. Wain is up in heaven with all his feline friends.
With his wife
I'm a huge fan of Louis Wain, so how lovely to see this little clip of him. Many thanks for sharing.
Have you seen the movie The Electric Life of Louis Wain ? Well worth seeing
@@digitalmediafan Wonderful film 😻
I am interested in his psychedelic progression and the cat pictures going from charming to something found in an asylum.
That’s not true, he made normal cat pictures his whole life and also made abstract cat pictures, those people are lying. His art did not get crazier as his mental health deteriorated, it’s unknown what his illness even was because of the poor mental health knowledge at the time.
@@wirlwindows Oh your'e right,I should've looked into this further.
I'm so glad this man graced us with his art
True. Very inspiring art
I like how he throws his sketches on the ground as any artist would do when showing his/her artwork
It's sad to hear about his past. But I'm happy because everyone love him and his art
So freaking cool there's footage of him!
There's a very nice documentary on YT by Professor Graeme Yorston!
So good to see footage. Didn’t know any existed
A sad history but an art that inspires
Same a great surprise
I love cats, i love psychedelic art, and i love his story. A great artist !
Rest in peace and for ever Louis Wain.
What a man. What a legend

Beautiful. Thank you for sharing this.
Very inpiring for those who love cats, as me
Wow thank you for this
Thank you so much for uploading this and not letting it turn into a lost media. I really like Louis Wain's artworks!
It's interesting that the cats in his drawing are so expressive and lively while he is so subdued and expressionless, even the way he spoke was expressionless apparently
the man loved cats and only cats
He was smiling at the kitty when he was holding it! Also it’s theorized that he may have been autistic and I think that makes sense, cuz of having a flat affect and only relating to animals

RIP Louis Wain you would have loved warrior cats
Man he really liked cats
He was such an amazing painter and people loved genuinely loved him
He was one of the first people to draw animals in a full-on acting like humans way
So tragic that we lost him
he was one of the first to modernize animals (mainly cats) into a cartoon anthropomorphic style
103 years ago....
His art is still amazing even meow; he was a pawsome & remarkable person.
