when you give them a 10-yard cushion how much does your speed matter? sigh, drives me insane giving them wide open completions all night long. Then you get to hear how amazing the opposing QB was .. umm not really when a child could throw a ball to a wiiiiiiiiide open dude.
@Buxfan-fg8bh I don't disagree with that. The soft zone drives me NUTZ. But my point is highlighting that Dean doesn't make plays on the ball. Yes he's fast, but he's not a difference maker at all. Just a guy
This is a case of why they are not yet Superbowl contenders. They have the skill and the schemes if they apply them. But so often they seem to come out flat on these rookies and assume they will fold. they play them soft at the start and allow them to gain confidence. They need to come out HARD and DOMINATE them early and not allow them to see any daylight. The Buc's tend more towards contain and prevent. They need to lean more towards dominate and demoralize. It's more a mindset than a skill set imo. Personally, I would prefer to get beat on man-2-man rather than fold to wide open soft prevent zones. Play aggressive to win, if you get beat by stellar plays so be it. If your going to play soft coverage you best be making your tackles, down at point of contact.
I'm looking forward to seeing Chris Braswell and . . . Jose Ramirez! I think we've seen what were' gong to see from Joe Tryon-Shoyinka. He's not necessarily bad or anything; but, he's just not a passrusher.
The Bucs need to double team Olave. Rattler has said constantly that he will get the ball to Olave. I don't like what they did to Jake Haener so I am a Bucs fan this weekend.
I’m sorry but I completely disagree. They should bring back Devin White. I don’t think they will but if they are serious about winning they should bring him back. As long as he is humbled and willing to be a rotational player then he is worth bringing back. If he is willing and the front office isn’t, then they aren’t serious about winning and care more about their own pride. Unless there was some other large locker room issue with other players, which hearing the way they all talk about him and he talks about them makes me think there isn’t.
I mean there is a world where Devine sucks it up, eats his humble pie, stays off social media and balls out. But can he? It could be said he needs the Buc' more than we need him. it could be a perfect storm; he could resurrect his career and win us some games. But I feel pretty strongly that he is just too immature. He has the skills, but his attitude is just not correct. I mean you have like "locker room" presence and whatever. But Devine's problem is his ego and lack of work ethic. He is a bad ass when he applies himself. But you have to walk the walk before you can talk the talk. It is a huge shame. I'm not saying every Buc's player has to be a classy, nice guy. I am saying if you're going to be toxic you best be backing it up on the field. I need to see consistent production.
