omg this was not a fun first try lol. I cut 24 inches of wire, added the 10 inch of beads, had 2 beads left (cutting it too close for me lol, so next time will add a few extra), and ended up with needing to use the tail wire for one sepal cause well, I didn't have enough working wire lol, still ended up with a longer tail wire. So glad I started out with extra to start with, will aim for a 26 inch cut next time. I have never been accused of having small hands, (I wear a large size glove), and those sepals for me are a royal pain. I might need to make one of my "design enhancements" (aka....mistakes) and figure out a new way of doing the sepals. Separate wire maybe? I kind of saw these as a possibility for adapting into one of my wire tree sculptures for making a rose bush, not so sure after that now! Still thinking....I know they will not be earrings no matter what lol.

      omg woman! LOL
I actually make my loops quite tightly so if you make yours more loose, then it could take up more wire space.
And yes, you can make the sepals separately. I would suggest using size 28 wire if you have it. Wrap one of the tail wires around the base of the flower forming a coil and then reduce the wire. You can then make the wrapped loop using two wires instead of one. That's fine. If you can manage it, you can try to reduce to one tail wire. It's slightly bulkier but still okay to do it this way.
      Make the earring! :) lol

@@BeadFlora I'm not even going to describe what happened with my second attempt, which happened right after I posted my reply above lol. Lets just say I didn't realize it fell off the table until I heard the crunch of my wheelchair running it over. I can say I didn't even cuss as I threw it away LOL.
