They have no interest in selling their land. They have not shown any interest in it historically, show any interest in it now now or is likely to do that in the foreseeable future.
I agree that China shouldn't get a foodhold - obviously. Denmark also has a final say in some cases deemed to be potentially security issues, which has led to declining chinese offers.
Greenland has already burned their fingers with an Australian mining company, ruling is still out but it can be incredible costly, why they are very reluctant to what they allow to be mined.
Greenland (and Denmark to an lesser extend) is much more protective of the environment that the US is. This is one of the major reasons, along with the pure economically, why the US want to acquire everything.

      That’s impossible to know.
_I agree that China shouldn't get a foodhold - obviously. Denmark also has a final say in some cases deemed to be potentially security issues, which has led to declining chinese offers._
That didn’t occur in a vaccum. The US highlighted its concerns to Denmark regarding security and defense concerns associated with Chinese investments in critical infrastructure in Greenland. The strategic location of Greenland in the Arctic makes it a significant concern for NATO and the U.S. in terms of security. Also, in 2020 the US reopened its consulate in Nuuk after being closed since 1953. The United States has also offered financial aid and investment to Greenland as an alternative to Chinese investments. This includes funding for economic development, educational initiatives, and infrastructure projects.
_This is one of the major reasons, along with the pure economically, why the US want to acquire everything._
