That theory was never plausible because the first successful clone created was of stussy which was 36 years ago and both shamrock and shanks are 39 yo, also there no business of either shamrock or even shanks to go to vegapunk and get himself cloned even later in their life, so yeah it was quite obvious that it was his brother.

Blackbeard's 3 skulls have 4 bones crossed instead of two, forming 8 legs, and octopi have three hearts. The theory that I thought made more sense was a mythical zoan octopus, and the three hearts give him 3 souls to each get their own fruit power. Plus ... Darkness as his first fruit? Ink clouds, baby. Blackbeard's got that inky vibe.

Since it’s confirmed that Shamrock is Shanks’ older twin. We may know why Shanks ended up in the chest. Garling probably only wanted one heir and twin males could have disrupted that. So he ordered shanks to be killed. But someone not wanting to kill a baby hid shanks in a chest.
They were literally Prizes in a Tournament Garling was expected to win. Hiding him in a Chest he was going to win makes no sense.
@ shanks could have been put in the chest after the fighting started. So yes it can still make sense.
So we can forget the theory of BBeard having the Cerberus fruit. That's a HUGE BUFF for a Shanks Level Dude to have a sword with a Mythic Zoan fruit though.

Eventually but currently no get luffy above shanks and shamrock first then zoro is in the conversation after we get him above Fuji, green, kizaru, current Blackbeard, big mom, and more. If it isn’t done right shamrock would look like a fraud and he is shaping up to be the main antagonist of Elbaph so doing it this arc would not be a wise decision.

Cerberus is the Guardian of Hell. Shamrock being the Holder of 'Guardian of Hell' seems to mean that he (as the Commander of God Knights) is the Warden of Hell --> Marijoa. It means Marijoa is literally the Hell.

I think the most interesting thing is that the Cerberus fruit is probably one of the prizes from God Valley and given to the Figarland family for either winning the competition or as additional awards from Garlings achievements on that day.

Your original theory just got debunked because of the examples we listed. Any inanimate object is capable of obtaining a zoan devil fruit through some unexplained process.
If you want to make a case for mythical zoans now then yeah that’s different and your theory may apply there but for what we have been presented thus far it seems any object is capable of becoming animate through “eating” a zoan devil fruit.

I always wondered if more than one person can eat a devil fruit and get the same abilities. Like a smile fruit can affect more than one person, like when the left overs were given to the villagers. Or when giraffe dude from cp0 peeled the bananas and just ate the middle, but if someone ate the peels could they be a giraffe person too. Since the person who warned the goresa of Blackbeard was shamrock, maybe he knows that Blackbeard drank some of the Cerberus juice they used to create his blade back in the day…
