awesome video, i think this is my first ever yt comment. you helped me fix my sons non retracting beyblade launcher, and for that, both of us are in your debt. be well good sir.
Mine don't break the coil as fast as you, one did after a while, but they do bind up fairly fast. Even the red ones. After so many launches, every 2-4 launches the string seems to bind up a little bit and tug back a bit on you while you are launching. Making you mislaunch/weak launch. As if the string didnt wind up right or something and got stuck on itself. Happened to one launcher after like 10 launches. Hopefully just taking them apart and rewinding the string works? Maybe its twisted up a bit? Anyone know of this issue?
Lmao, you break these in ten launches?? My first one still works just like it did on day one and I use almost daily. I love the video, don't get me wrong. It's really cool/good to see whats inside this device. I just can't believe that you break these that fast, thats wild.
@Adam-rw4xk it's just the white/black molds that break that easily. Red and blue are fine. Few Japanese players have the same experience and Kei from wbo also has the same breakage issue as me.
Halfway through I remembered your Blader name from Ali(?)'s tournament video and now it makes sense as to how you break your launchers so easily. You're like the One Punch Man of launchers LOL 😱
letting go of the string and pulling too hard is what kills string launchers, I find pulling it quick and stopping just before the string ends and guiding the string back gives just as powerful of a launch without putting stress on the launcher
@jessietrevino3178 pretty sure the instructions and official takara tomy videos both present the string launcher to be used by letting go of the string
@soumyodeepchatterjee2000 there's only a temporary fix that wouldn't make it tourney legal. Taking off the black casing around the prong will make it not get stuck as easily.
Ive never broken any of mine, even from metal fight. And im 6'2 and 250lbs, and lift very heavy. I think you just need to change up how you're gripping or get the easy release grips. Thanks for the video
@Keithsview898 strength doesn't matter. It's all agility. And these white/black launchers just can't handle high speed launches. MFB, Burst, and red/blue x launchers are perfectly fine.
@@1234beyblade that's my point that strength doesn't matter. The only reason I said that about myself is that I'm that strong and have had no issues with them. Now I will say I was under the impression that you were using too much strength. Which is why you were running into this problem. I control my strength with string, I still have my black one from the first wave.
@@Keithsview898 Thing is, yes you do want to control your launch. but what if you're in a tournament situation where both you and your opponent have perfectly balanced tuned beys and you need to launch as hard as possible to get more RPM than your opponent to win your matchup. This is all very situational, i don't always go all out, but when I need to I don't want my launcher breaking on me. Edit: During solo practice I like to stress test to see how much a launcher can take. These black/white launchers just cannot withstand the upper limit of my launch abilities. Which is how I find out that these moldings of launchers break so easily. The new gold launcher from tournaments has this issue too lol, the recent winner of it from waribey in Japan has broken it same way I did with this one.
@vicaslan I just know how to push to the limits of the launcher while still being able to control it. Do I always launch this hard? Of course not. But if I need to, I will, and I don't want my launcher breaking on me.
I am an absolute baboon and I broke mine within 2 days of having it (hasbro Soar Phoenix red launcher), but now that I have the understanding that the red launchers aren't supposed to break that easily, I think I'll just stick to ripchord launchers for the sake of saving time and money 😅
yeah the coil i think winds up in reverse on the left launcher. gotta follow the direction of the arrow that indicates which way to winds up to wind the coil.
I don't think the blue one is fine, I've broken both of my 2 blue ones very quickly, and they're the only ones I've broken out of them, a black, and a red one edit: I've used all of them pretty heavily, except the second blue one, and the first blue one was my primary launcher after supergluing the spring into place
@Real_Gray_22 you have to make a new circle for the small plastic rod to attach to. It will no longer be tournament legal. No one will be able to tell really, but you should just be honest and not use it. For tourneys you'll have to buy a new one unfortunately.
@Real_Gray_22 it's not easy that's for sure. Not really something I can explain in text, you just have to find a way to replicate the original shape to allow the shaft to coil up the metal again.
@pickleman-zh3ff That's wrong. The intended way to launch is exactly how I do it. Pinch the handle just hard enough so it automatically releases when the string runs out.
Yet after my fix you can pull as hard as you want and bottom out the string. interesting how that works. the exact intended way of use is to pinch the handle just hard enough so the handle breaks free from your fingers the exact moment the string bottoms out. The breakage also has nothing to do with the string, it's all to do with the retraction being too volatile and fragile in these specific molds of string launchers.
please do an uneditied version of this... the edits led to me having no luck with my own and it came to me throwing the launcher along with all hope for me being able tp play with x beys until christmas in the trash... just because the edits caused me to not fully know what to do T-T
Came back to this to try this method for my L string launcher since it constantly kept getting caught and surprisingly worked great
4 months later, with this video I saved my black X string launcher that just broke recently

Great video and tutorial!! i can't wait to put my custom strings in the X string launchers. i'm running 56 inches in db's
Nice lol, hopefully the gear can actually hold that much string lol. I'm sure you know it's not tourney legal at that point, but yeah.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I managed to fix my Left spin launcher because of this video :)

I assume this should work the same for a left string launcher, just opposite direction, right?
Is there a possibility you can super glue the coil with the latches inside so it won't move permanently?
@ethguy9227 it wouldn't be tournament legal at that point.

So the red and blue beyblade x string launchers are much less prone to breaking right?

i have the hasbro red one for soar phoenix and it broke after like 6 launches so i’m here now
I think it also depends on how hard youre going on the string. Ive had only 1 string launcher for awhile and its been in good condition since
