Wonderful playing here . Really an integrated musical experience . How does he make such relevant concert music out of these simple folk tunes and rhythms. Idon't know what Boulez thought of this delightfully old-fashuioned music ;one can easily guess did he ever programme Shosta?!This music gets painfully human every time I come back to it!The first time I heard this music (Argerich and her friends!)I was stunned ! I knew the magnificent , miraculous a minor violin concerto so I knew Shostakovich was a master . Since then I've tried to find a string quartet to love(havent) the cello concerti are triumphs too. The piano Sonatas are not programmed why should they be when Prokofiev 2-9 are around . Both of Prokofiev's Violin concerti are masterpieces!Has Schehedrin given us any .i got a cd more than a decade ago with him playing his 3 piano concerti (slick , fun haven't gone back to them in a while!) Gonna go find Schehedrin violin concerto?Of course Ustvolskaya isalways played in our house .Sofia Gubaidulina a bit less ...
In memory of Shostakovich' dear friend. Ivan Sollertinsky..
I love 💕 love 💗 Anna 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
0:15 I. Andante
7:49 II. Allegro con brio
10:44 III. Largo
16:10 IV. Allegretto
Indrukwekkend stuk, prachtig uitgevoerd door deze drie topmusici. Onbegrijpelijk dat het nog maar zo weinig bekeken is.
no e string, no problem
A peça retrata, obviamente, um estado de espírito do compositor. Dos russos o que mais me agrada, pela sensibilidade e pela doçura, fico com Tchaikovski.
