Wait. Jesus went to Sheol during His three days of death, then after He resurrected, He ascended into Heaven. So, when we die and we go to Sheol, how can we be with Christ then? 🤔
I was wondering, when he spoke of Jesus going to sheol to preach the gospel to the dead, what about Jesus telling the sinner on the cross next to him "Today you will be with me in paradise"? Could it be the place where Lazarus was on the one side of the chasm with Abraham and the rich man on the other side in darkness and waterless? Or did Jesus open with the tearing of the veil at His death, the way for believers from then on into paradise?
Now that is an interesting question may I refer you to two of Davids Talks ruclips.net/video/IzagE7DQpLA/видео.html the dying thief www.davidpawson.org/resources/series/life-after-death Life after death series How often do you hear anyone speaks about life after death ? based on what Jesus says ! In summary - the Greek word for Paradise is not the same as Heaven and is more aligned to a garden at a Kings palace - if You study end times Jesus tells us we are not destined to spend eternity in Heaven as often beloved but there will be a new heaven and a new earth. God will come down to dwell with us in the new earth for eternity ...... that may or may not be a surprise to you but it is what Jesus teaches Yes I believe that Sheol was a holding place for those who died in old times and when Jesus paid the price the gates of Sheol were opened The tearing of the veil from top to bottom also means God is no longer contained in a man made temple the holy of holys but now, through the Holy Spirit dwells in us There is so much here - Truth contained in the Bible that needs to be unpack
Thank you. I will listen to the teachings. What came to me now while reading this regarding the "today you will be with Me in Paradise" is this: "My Father and I are one" and: "if you have seen Me then you have also seen the Father"
