I absolutely love the form factor of the RG Cube. Definitely the most comfortable handheld I’ve used, and it can play NBA Street Vol. 2 on the train! What a world. Appreciate ya as always!
I am in love with that Anbernic RG Cube. I love the design it looks like a 2024 version of the Frutiger Aero Aesthetic( if you are familiar with it) however I live in South Africa and I make a South African salary and honestly it is really pricey(costs as much as a NS lite). I thank you for your honesty but if it's not better or cheaper than a switch lite then it looses in sales, great video man :)
Ive been closely following the retro game scene for a while. The RG Cube is the closest thing that's come out that hits my desired handheld: compact, left joystick up top, powerful enough for GC/PS2 emulation, under $200. So far ive been enjoying it but over time I have felt the weirdness of the 1:1 aspect ratio screen. I wish they would have used a 4" 4:3 screen
I love my cube. I see the price went up! I'm still figuring it out. But I like to hack with tec as much as I like to play games. It's pretty powerful. This time of year I wear a hoodie almost daily. It slips right into the pocket. This is the first Android handheld I've ever used. My friends like it too! They always be grabbing it.
With all the emulator handhelds that you covered, i would love to see a tier list of all the devices. I just found your channel and recently have been itching for some nostalgia. I dont mind putting in some effort to make these work nice and proper with no issues but i would also like to get more bang for my buck. Good price, good product that doesnt have a lot of self modding if that makes sense. I wish i could get them all but at the same time im trying to save and be smart about it. You opinion would be greatly appreciated!
This handheld is pretty cool, I specially like that the analog is on top. But I'm not sure about the aspect ratio, it works great for gameboy but with the price and high performance it would be a waste not to play higher end stuff that doesn't go great for that screen. Great video as always Portly!
The Rg Cube is under $150 pretty much everywhere else including directly from Anbernic themselves. You’re advertising that inflated price because they sent it to you for free.
I have to share the link for the website that sent me the device, yes. What sense would it make if they let me share links to cheaper sources lol. I’ve said in multiple videos to feel free to get these things elsewhere if it’s cheaper and that I am obligated to share the links provided to me.
I love my RG cube! I got a pre-loaded 256 gig card but of course there's a lot of games I would like to add and be able to organize better, so now what I have to do is learn out how to load ROMs and emulate, embarrassinglyI know nothing, I'm an electrician so never really had the time to get furry knowledgeable with PCs. Any advice on the best way/place to learn how to do it? It's something I've never done before, any help or direction would be appreciated thanks 👍
I definitely recommend checking out the guide from Retro Game Corps. He has videos and a written guide to follow along. He’s how I’ve learned what I’ve learned so far. Just google Retro Game Corps RG Cube and it’ll come up! Joey’s Retro Handhelds also has a video guide that was helpful for me too.
Hey porly gamer, can you point me to the right website or RUclips channel for step by step on how to setup emulate with my device, I'd appreciate it if you can friend! 🍀

I love the look of this handheld. I collect them. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, would've been great if life it had 4:3 aspect ratio, which suits most of the stuff
Thank you for this review and the code 👍 looking forward to your thoughts on RG406V 🙏
The color is so beautiful
9:50 smaller screen. Lower pixel desity on games. It will be obviously Faster than rg556 on some games. No neee to be surprised
That’s a good point! I hadn’t thought of that
I love this for 3DS and Arcade games
Did you find out why some PS2 games worked poorly in 556 as opposed to Cube? Thanks man!
this is the best one for vertical shooters and old arcade games that had taller displays.
It feels much better than 556 for sure

Don't see it much of an Issue if some games are Missing at least since you can add them later especially Mario games.
Can you tell me how to get that game boy overlay on your device?
It just came like that for me using the default settings and launching through Anbernics front end.
Well at the very least I learned not to order the SD card with Anbernic products haha. Cool little device
I want It in aluminum edition so bad
Could you please check if Netflix is working on this device? Or anybody know?
It’s an android device so you can use any android apps and games just like a phone or tablet
